Currently when referring to the Crowber's appearance for this game, we call it "Crow" simply because that's what Prima calls it. However, we still use the name "Crowber" for the prior games (NSMB for DS and Wii), presumably because that name was used by guides. By comparison, the same guide for the same game called Scuttlebugs "Spiders", causing us to briefly do the same, but quickly agreed not to because it was just a generic animal name and the Scuttlebug name had been used in-game before in Mario Party DS and used again not long after New Super Mario Bros. 2 in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Crowbers however, have not had their name used in-game before New Super Mario Bros. 2, but they eventually did in Paper Mario: The Origami King (or technically Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, despite Crowbers not physically appearing in it). I still think however, "Crowber" should be the name used for New Super Mario Bros. 2 since "Crow" is also a generic animal name, sections before it use "Crowber", and comes from a guidebook.

- Swallow (talk) Per proposal. Forgive me if a proposal is a bit much for this, but I often feel it's the most efficient way to make headway.
- Hewer (talk) For the sake of consistency, per proposal.
- Waluigi Time (talk) Probably doesn't need a TPP since we have precedent, but sure. (I'd also like to at some point do this with Kamek in the NSMB games.)
- 7feetunder (talk) As someone who has zero respect for Prima's generic animal naming habits, per proposal.
