Cactus Jack are named after politician John "Cactus Jack" Garner.[2][better source needed] Cactus Jack's English name may also be a reference to Mick Foley's professional wrestling alter-ego.
HistoryEdit
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3Edit
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Cactus Jack only appear in two levels: Watch Out For Lakitu and The Cave Of The Mystery Maze. They stand on not only the ground, but also tracks. Cactus Jacks can be moved if a Yoshi throws a Yoshi's egg at them. If they come into contact with anything when rolling, they explode and shoot out coins.
Unused appearancesEdit
Yoshi's New IslandEdit
Cactus Jacks were going to appear in Yoshi's New Island where their eyes and coloration would look more similar to standard Pokeys, as there is a model with a set of animations, but they were removed from the final game.[3]
