The DK Wilds is team lead by Donkey Kong in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers.

Mario Superstar BaseballEdit

The team goes by the name DK Kongs by default. Its additional names are the DK Explorers, DK Wild Ones, and DK Animals. The Sub-Captain, Diddy Kong's, team names are Diddy Survivors, Diddy Ninjas, Diddy Tails, or Diddy Red Caps. The team has set players in Challenge Mode, but the players can be chosen while in Exhibition Mode. If the team is faced by another opponent, they play against them in the Donkey Kong Jungle stadium.

Team MembersEdit

The DK Kongs have the most widespread team in the game. They have Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Dixie Kong, two Koopa Troopas, two Koopa Paratroopas, and both the Goombas (Goomba and Paragoomba). The DK Kongs team marked Dixie Kong's first appearance in any traditional Super Mario game. Dixie Kong is also the unlockable of the team, unlocked by defeating Challenge Mode as the DK Kongs. All of the primates have good chemistry with each other. Goomba shares good chemistry with Paragoomba and Diddy Kong, while the Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas have good chemistry with each other and Paragoomba sharing good chemistry with the Paratroopas. Monty Mole shares good chemistry with the Goombas, Petey Piranha shares good chemistry with only Donkey Kong, Dry Bones share good chemistry with only the Koopa Troopas, and Bowser shares good chemistry with both Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas.

Mario Super SluggersEdit

The team reappears in Mario Super Sluggers, now known as the DK Wilds; when the Sub-Captain, Diddy Kong, heads the team, its name is Diddy Monkeys. Its home stadium is DK Jungle. The DK Wilds' lineup has changed drastically, now being Donkey Kong Country-themed by including some members of the Kong Family. Almost all the Kongs share good chemistry with each other. However, the team is also composed of King K. Rool and four Kritters, who all have bad chemistry with the Kongs, though they do have good chemistry with each other. Baby DK is also compatible with all the Kongs (excluding the captain and sub-captain) along with other teams, such as the Yoshi Eggs, where he shows good chemistry with all the Yoshis, and the other baby players who are on the Mario Fireballs and Peach Monarchs. All the common enemies who appeared in the previous installment have now joined with Wario.

The team has powerful hitters and excels at defense, though a couple of them are poor runners.
