Princess Peach’s royal bus drives along a rolling country road through a sunny, green valley.

Luigi has received a special invitation from Hellen Gravely, the owner of the Last Resort hotel.

He has won a free stay at the hotel for himself and his friends!

They soon arrive at the world-class Last Resort hotel.

It’s even bigger and more dazzling than they expected. The hotel is nestled in a green valley, surrounded by mountains. It seems to give off a soft, golden glow.

Luigi enters the hotel and looks around the lobby in amazement.

The lobby is fancy. Giant pictures of Toad, Luigi, Mario, and Princess Peach hang from the ceiling.

The steward welcomes the guests to the Last Resort hotel and asks if they are ready to check in.

Luigi settles in to his room. He opens his green suitcase and takes out a book and a flashlight.

But before he can start reading, Luigi falls asleep on his bed. Polterpup curls up next to him for a nap.

Luigi is awakened in the middle of the night by a scream!

Luigi is very scared. He uses his flashlight to explore the dark, creepy room. The floor is covered in fog, spooky balloons float above the bed, and strange vines sprout from the nightstand.

Luigi discovers that it is all a trap put in motion by Hellen Gravely to impress King Boo! King Boo wants to seal Luigi in a glowing, swirling picture frame.

Oh no! Mario, Princess Peach, and the Toads have all been sealed inside picture frames!

There’s one hope—the Poltergust G-00! Luigi can use Professor E. Gadd’s invention to capture the ghosts swarming the halls of the Last Resort hotel.

Framed pictures of Toad, Luigi, Mario, and Princess Peach still hang above the dark, empty lobby. But there is now an ‘X’ drawn over each picture.

Will Luigi be able to rescue his trapped friends?
