Dark Bowser edit

Hi it's fabulous that you're contributing and all but I noticed in this article you put you, all pages in this wiki must be written in a third person style so use terms like the player or the playable character (in that case Bowser) you're not in trouble just keep this in mind in the future thank you and keep contributing. :) The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   17:11, 18 July 2016 (EDT)

Image Submission

That upload is rather poor. It should be tagged with {{image-quality}}. Try my WIP page how to obtain a better image. Specifically read the GBA and saves sections. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:20, 22 July 2016 (EDT)

I see you attempted to upload a better image. It seems we already had an acceptable image to demonstrate the subject of Lightning Orb (object) for the time being: File:MLSS-Oho Oasis Screenshot.png. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 14:41, 22 July 2016 (EDT)
Do you think that we should put up both images or keep it just to the one?
It's better to delete the JPEG you submitted because the existing PNG I changed it to is better. PNG is a very good format for screenshots of games because it is a lossless format compared to the lossy JPEG. I strongly discourage video-taken screenshots, such as YouTube. The quality varies greatly and is rather poor in comparison to playing the game yourself in an emulator because the quality can be controlled fully. Most emulators have a screenshot button or function to generate the PNGs or BMPs. Just be sure to follow my WIP carefully so you can submit the best imagery. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:43, 22 July 2016 (EDT)

Signature

I see you didn't sign your comment. You should get into the habit of doing that if you are going to edit various talk pages. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:48, 22 July 2016 (EDT)

Preview Button

I noticed you've been hitting "Save Page" to check your edits on an article (or you just keep coming up with info to put down). Hitting "Show preview" will show your edit without saving it, making the final edit cleaner and not making the article being edited prone to frequent edits. Please use "Show preview" instead if you're not done with your edit.

Added Welcome template as well, so you can check that out too if you need help :)    13:17, 28 July 2016 (EDT)

Please stop not using the preview button on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.
You did it again, but with your sig! Please use the preview button! --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:59, 8 August 2016 (EDT)
It won't happen again. I couldn't find out what was wrong for a while. I did start using the preview button during it.--Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk) 13:10, 8 August 2016 (EDT)

Unofficial articles

Thank you for stopping by! That article you made is unofficial. We have lots of them that are official including Mario Kart, Kenny James, and Nintendo. Please stop making them. AfternoonLight (talk) 10:57, 9 August 2016 (EDT)

Hey! Just stepping in, the reason AfternoonLight tagged your page for deletion is because it's not to do with the official Mario series, which is the only thing we cover, not fan things like user-stories. However, as you don't want them on your user page, and as we don't allow separate user pages for stories your best bet for fan stories will be the fan creation board on our forums, or Userpedia, which is specifically designed for user stories and the like. Yoshi876 (talk)
Yoshi876:Thank you for your suggestions. That is what I needed to find out. I looking at the forum and see whether or not it is a good choice for me or not. Remember, I am new, so I don't know much of the forum. Their will be no more unofficial articles out there.--Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk) 11:16, 9 August 2016 (EDT)

After a while, I now conclude that until later on, I'm not going to either one. Don't worry, I will put stories on my userpage. Not now, but later. It will be when I feel like making up a story. It will be before I go to either one. One of them will help me reduce the space on the page. It'll probably be the forum.   Yoshi the SSM (talk)   18:03, 15 August 2016 (EDT)

Young E. Gadd

Your revision for Young Professor Elvin Gadd was missing several elements, including bolding the subject's name, italics for game titles, categorising etc. When writing an article, please follow the criteria listed in the Manual of Style next time, which includes those I just mentioned. Also, in case you didn't know, images are generally put into thumbnails like so: [[File name here|thumb]]

Thanks.   Mario JC 05:21, 10 August 2016 (EDT)

When I wrote Young E. Gadd, I wanted other people to continue the work. The proposal had passed, but nothing changed so I left some information about him. My mind was thinking of letting others finish what I started. I wasn't even thinking of making it my own. The reason why? Young Professor Elvin Gadd was an article and I didn't want to take it away from someone.  Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk)   09:09, 10 Agusust 2016 (EDT)
The original proposer is currently banned. Therefore, it is up to the supporters of the proposal to follow through with the changes. Although the onus to make the change was not on you specifically, you should have applied the basic article formatting as Mario jc had outlined. And as far as I can see, you did not make any communications towards other users to finish the page. You cannot just expect somebody else to apply that formatting.
  Shokora (talk · edits) 09:16, 10 August 2016 (EDT)
If I had known that the original proposer was banned, I would of added more than what I did. Me being new here, I didn't want to send a message to a lot of people. I know it possible to do it on the talk page of Professor Elvin Gadd, but I didn't do it. Sorry:(. I will try to find out about past proposers next time there was one. I will edit Young Professor Elvin Gadd. I had played the game and the information doesn't really match what I saw when I played.  Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk)   09:25, 10 August 2016 (EDT)

The article looks pretty good. There is other information in other articles that this article links to. If there is anymore things you like to add, go ahead and do it. I am not going to watch that article. Doesn't seem necessary for me.  Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk)   10:25, 10 August 2016 (EDT)

Sigfix

Dear Yoshi the SSM,

Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures. Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you.

Hey, your signature needs to fit inside that box there, so you'll need to resize the Yoshi image, and potentially abbreviate your name. Yoshi876 (talk)

What about this?

  Yoshi the SS (talk)

That's fine. Just some quick advice, in your preferences, you should place {{subst:nosubst|User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} in the "Signature" box. This way, when you sign comments the template will appear, and not the raw coding.

  Shokora (talk · edits) 17:34, 14 August 2016 (EDT)

Moving Files

Please stop moving files and forgetting to (1) tag the redirects with {{delete}} and (2) modifying the pages that link to the old file name on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Your log shows that you moved files today but I had to make changes to the pages and tag those image redirects with {{delete}}. Please finish what you start next time. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:46, 17 August 2016 (EDT)

An informal message would've been more appropriate here.   It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:48, 17 August 2016 (EDT)
I didn't know whether or not deleting those files would have deleted the links from the files. It was the first time moving files so I didn't now. I will remember to finish. There may be some instances where I can't finish what I started. If I don't finish it, then someone can finish it for me (this means when I am not on this wiki not when I am perfectly capable of doing right then).   Yoshi the SSM (talk)   22:03, 17 August 2016 (EDT)

Reminder

Please stop not formatting your signature properly on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You may not notice but when you post a comment on talk pages with your signature, it shows your full coding. It must say {{User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} here is how to ensure that:

  1. Create your user subpage (which you already have) and call it. User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig.
  2. Put the current coding of your signature there.
  3. Go to your user preferences in between your talk page link and watchlist link and go to the signature section and type in this {{SUBST:nosubst|User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} check treat signature as wikitext without an automatic link save your changes once done.

The Signature Policy has more info. on this subject. I will give you about a few days but if you don't fix your sig by then I might have to give you a warning. Thanks. The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   16:38, 22 August 2016 (EDT)

I was wondering why the sig wasn't showing. Now I know why. I needed {}s. Thanks for the help.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 17:19, 22 August 2016
Thanks I am happy you fixed it :) The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   18:52, 22 August 2016 (EDT)

Proposal Ties

If a Proposal is in a tie, the deadline will be extended. If this happens three times the proposal will be considered a tie and you'll have the option to redo it in a week's time just thought I'd let you know. The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   02:48, 26 August 2016 (EDT)
I know. I added the fact the it was extended.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 10:10, August 26 2016 (EDT)

Userboxes

To make a userbox tower, go to this page. Copy one of the codings you want, change the code and msg to whatever you want it to say or display. At the top of the tower put {{userboxtop}} and at the bottom put {{userboxbottom}}. I hope this helps. :) The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   02:22, 27 August 2016 (EDT)

How Come You Didn't Finish the last 25 Sammer Guy stats?

One thing in particular: How come you didn't add the statistics for Sammer Guys 76-100 (except End Boss, in which he has the highest stats)? You should because no one will know what their stats are if they fight the Sammer Guys from Chapter 6-4. Can you please add them?

User talk:Madbird82, 15:24, 31 August 2016 (EDT)

This is taking a while because of the missing stats. I am going to have blank-ish stats for the hp, def, and pow because I don't know them either. The main reason why I think this is so is you are near the end of the Duel of 100 event and you just want to finish it. Also, this is the end so it is quite hard to get to but this part is harder than getting to it. Also, you only can visit this particular place only one time. I will add the known stats of the others. By the way, I also know about the Ninjoe/Ninjohn/Ninjerry ally. This will get done soon.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 16:26, 31 August 2016 (EDT)

Mario Maker elements

I removed the list of elements because eventually every feature from the original game would just be added to it, turning it into a carbon copy of the original Mario Maker page. Since it's a remake, I think it should mainly cover the new changes made and new features added to it, like in the Super Mario Advance pages, but if you think it should stay, please voice it on the talk page. Thanks.   Mario JC 12:05, 1 September 2016 (EDT)

That list is the exact list I saw in the video. I think that the list is different enough that it can be its own thing. There is also no custom feature of the list. It is in the exact order I saw them. A nine by seven grid. The items are not exclusive to that particular list, but everything in game will fall under one of the items on that list.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 12:16, 1 September 2016 (EDT)

Re: 100% Completion

Are you saying that stomping on 20 Goombas in a row gives a Yoshi egg? Because I cannot find any information about it online, so I'm pretty certain it is a hoax. --Andymii (talk) 17:01, 1 September 2016 (EDT)

Re: Passed Proposals

To be completely honest, I do not understand your last comment. Would it be possible for you to reiterate it here? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 17:36, 21 September 2016 (EDT)

I did see your comment. However, I do not understand the point that you were trying to make. I was hoping that you could explain it to me in different terms. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 17:45, 21 September 2016 (EDT)

A Suggestion

Hey. Since you're splitting some of the implied stuff from that proposal, I have a minor suggestion to make. When you take stuff out of the big implied character list, maybe you should add something like "See article Scarlette for more information," instead of removing the entire section completely. I think there's a template to format that, but I literally can't remember what it was or if it actually exists. If you can think of what that template may be, I personally just suggest using it to leave a link to the Scarlet/whatever implied character article. If not, maybe someone else will do it, lol. Fawfulfury65

{{Main}} is what you're referring to. Technically, they're only supposed to be split after a discussion, but splitting the most notable ones right off the bat (like Scarlette) shouldn't be too contentious. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 14:56, 22 September 2016 (EDT)

Re: Broken File

The broken image.

First clicks show a blank page while a refresh shows the MediaWiki interface minus a preview image size and thumbnails in the file history. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:19, 22 September 2016 (EDT)

I could resize the image, but that is not desired. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:35, 22 September 2016 (EDT)
It's not where I want to put it. It just appears broken anywhere, be it on the file page or being linked. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 17:19, 22 September 2016 (EDT)
Suddenly, I am seeing the page correctly but file links are still broken. I don't think the device matters. I tried this in a different web browser and the same issue occurs. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:10, 22 September 2016 (EDT)
Strangely, everything is working correctly. I don't know why I was experiencing such weirdness. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:18, 22 September 2016 (EDT)
And Reboot (talk) figured out what the issue was. I will stop now. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:29, 22 September 2016 (EDT)

Mario Kart 7

Regarding your request, I'd be more than happy to play Mario Kart 7 with you. Although I am usually busy, I'm game. Although I'd warn you, I suck at Mario Kart 7 compared to the other games in the series. Golden Yoshi   23:00, 22 September 2016 (EDT) Unfortunately my time zone is different to yours. Do you have a compromise of any sort? Golden Yoshi   23:05, 22 September 2016 (EDT) On EDT say about 7:30 am on Monday. Are you available? Enforcing a proposal before it passes

Hi, just to let you know that you aren't allowed to enforce a proposal before it passes. It's actually a level two offense: no matter whether it's an hour or a day earlier than the deadline, the only correct time to enforce a proposal is after the deadline. For this instance, just over an hour remains for your proposal to reach the deadline. Thanks.

A Question

Hello. Remember me? You gave me some tips on my talk page? I wanted to ask a question, Do you know of anyone on Mario Wiki who knows how to move images behind images, without completely hiding the back image with white space? I need this moved behind this.
  Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 14:32, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

Try RPG Gamer.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 14:45, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

Coincidence?

I noticed that you compared SMG vs. SMG2 on your userpage. I did the same thing earlier today. Were you inspired by me, or was it just a coincidence? --  (talk · edits) 21:23, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

I was inspired. I going to do more than just SMG and SMG2, though. I don't know which game will be my favorite. You can give me more thoughts of what games I should compare.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 21:29, 14 October 2016 (EDT)
Cool! That means someone actually reads my userpage! I am thinking of comparing the Smash Bros. games, maybe the Mario Kart games. Did you actually read the whole thing? It was kind of long. We came to two different conclusions: I said SMG was better, you said SMG2 was better. I actually have not completed SMG2 yet, but I only need 32 more Green Stars.
I read the whole article. Very good points on the comparison. To me, the final bosses of the two games are equal. Mostly because both have Bowser. I thinking that Mario Kart games will be soon. And if your looking for any spoilers, sorry.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 21:47, 14 October 2016 (EDT)
I forgot to put my sig up there... Anyway, I don't think you said any spoilers. About the final bosses, I thought SMG2 was more epic, especially in the second part. I mean, come on! Mario shooting meteors at Giant Bowser while they fly through a vortex? Awesome! I read yours. The green stars can be hard to find sometimes, but their fun to look for. I'm not sure I agree about SMG2 being more creative, but you're right about it being more retro. By the way, I did complete SMG. Did you read my entire userpage? I haven't read all of yours yet, but I think I will. --  (talk · edits) 21:59, 14 October 2016 (EDT)
I am talking about what happens after you beat the Perfect Run. To my eyes, the same drama was in both. They equal each other out to me. I have a book which says, "Wanting to evolve the fun game play of the first title, the development team went all out thinking up new ideas for Super Mario Galaxy 2." I did read all of the your userpage.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 22:15, 14 October 2016 (EDT)
Oh, I'll just have to keep playing to find out. Yeah, I heard somewhere that they had more ideas that didn't end up in SMG, so they put them in SMG2. I'm in the process of reading your userpage. --  (talk · edits) 22:21, 14 October 2016 (EDT)
I finished reading your userpage. Nice story, although I found it a little confusing. I liked how you put Ganondorf in there. Also, are you actually making your fan games, or are you just coming up with ideas without making it? --  (talk · edits) 22:35, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

I was thinking about giving them to Nintendo so that they could help me distribute them. I am preferring Nintendo over programs that allow this since there are people who don't play fan games on the internet. And it is not just one game, but a whole series of games. Some of which don't even have Mario in them. I am using this wiki to gather enemies for the game.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 22:47, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

Not sure if they'll accept it, but you could try. Well, nice talking to you. I'm getting off soon. Talk to you later. --  (talk · edits) 22:59, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

I would just like to say that I thought the final boss of SMG2 was pathetic. The setting is epic, yes. But there's literally no effort. A 2-year-old could do it with no damage. All you have to do is keep ground pounding constantly. What would make it harder is if Bowser moved around Mario instead of staying in front of him so Mario would have to line up a shot, and if Bowser breathed fireballs, forcing Mario to swap meteors and possibly scrap the perfect he had lined up. Lastly, there should be a time limit. Come on, there's a giant black hole in the background and Mario can't get sucked in?! I just thought the final boss should be, you know, hard. At least a small challenge. The final boss is SMG1, though, was awesome! Just wanted to say that. I'm done.
  Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 12:54, 15 October 2016 (EDT)

Yeah, Ultimate Mr. L, I agree. --  (talk · edits) 16:06, 15 October 2016 (EDT)
I see what you mean. Part 1 of the final fight against Bowser in Super Mario Galaxy 2 was a lot harder than part 2. But it is not a simple as you say it is. Bowser does make the player have to go to another meteor whenever Bowser punches, but that will mean that the player is taking too long.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 16:12, 15 October 2016 (EDT)
Also, it seems like you'd have to go out of your way to get hurt. By the way, do you mind if I call you YSSM? or maybe YtSSM? Both are a lot easier to type than Yoshi the Space Station Manager. And you could call me L64DD. --  (talk · edits) 16:32, 15 October 2016 (EDT)
You can call me Yoshi if you want, but if you want to keep me separate from other Yoshis, call me Yoshi the SSM or YSSM.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 16:38, 15 October 2016 (EDT)
Okay. For my Game Comparisons, I'm probably going to do either the New Super Mario Bros. series or the Mario Kart series next. --  (talk · edits) 16:48, 15 October 2016 (EDT)

Re: Proposal changes

Please stop edit sniping on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

The Coin Ring split is Wildgoosespeeder (talk)'s proposal, so he is entitled to make the changes first. If you want to pitch in, ask him. Otherwise, your action is a violation of MarioWiki:Courtesy, particularly, "[users should not] participate in other users' editing projects without asking them first." Additionally, you have already have been told by an admin to not do this, so you will be given a reminder. A repeated offense will net you a warning. Please keep this in mind next time a proposal passes. Thanks.   It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 00:58, 15 October 2016 (EDT)

He had a day to be able to do it. If this will make you feel better, I won't be making any changes to the article nor will I watch the changes that happen to it. (per proposal) won't appear anymore when referring to an article that I didn't propose, unless I ask first. Anyways, it is not like it was a major article that was in danger, but you can trust me not to do this offense without asking first. The only time where I am creating an article I didn't propose will be when the user who propose it is no longer around or had said that they didn't support the idea of creating the new article (which will be very rare for that user to do).   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 16:00, 15 October 2016 (EDT)

I know you (Ult. Mr.L) are younger than me cause you said on your userpage that you watched your mom play Super Mario Bros. on Wii Virtual Console when you were 2 years old. That makes it impossible for you to be older than me. 8) --  (talk · edits) 19:55, 16 October 2016 (EDT)

No. It is possible that he is in the 10 to 12 range because the Wii came out 10 years ago.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 10:52, 17 October 2016 (EDT)

I know. That's what makes him younger than me. I'm older than 12. --  (talk · edits) 18:38, 17 October 2016 (EDT)

Bazooka Mario's Personal beliefs

Can you stop bringing up my twin's atheism, when discussing proposals? You're doing this only to be provocative, her personal beliefs have absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Next time you do this, it's an infringement of courtesy and you'll get a warning for it.  Ray Trace(T|C) 19:27, 17 October 2016 (EDT)

The statement made in the Children proposal was bringing up the Bible. I knew that Bazooka didn't believe the Bible so I said no offenses to anyone. I did have relation to the proposal since the Bible calls teenagers children which the proposal was about. The Harisenbon proposal was stating our differences and it wasn't really part of the proposal. If I bring up the Bible in a proposal, that means the situation calls for it. Harisenbon seem like a mistake, but I learned that bringing up the Bible in proposals should only be done if a statement related to the proposal is found in the Bible. If your wondering, I have the King James Bible, Scofield study guide.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 19:44, 17 October 2016 (EDT)
This is a wiki about a lighthearted video game series where a plumber saves a princess from an overgrown lizard. More often than not, it is not necessary to invoke the Bible. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 19:48, 17 October 2016 (EDT)
In most cases, yes. But when a statement that is found in the Bible appears relevant to something on this wiki, I think it should be included. Harisenbon was the only time I issue something not relative to the wiki.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 19:53, October 2016 (EDT)

I know I'm not involved in this situation, but I would just like to share my opinion. I understand what SSM is trying to do, and I understand he's trying to do it for the good of the wiki, but he needs to remember that not everyone is Christian or religious, and he needs to respect that. citing the bible in this situation is over-complicating it in my opinion, and would likely just lead to debates over religion. I feel that we should just stick with the typical definition of a child (someone 12 or younger) rather than having to cite the bible; I'm not saying the bible is a bad thing, but it would just make the situation here too messy. like I said, I'm not directly involved in this situation, so take my opinion with a grain of salt; just wanted to share my view.   LB (talkeditsforum) 20:17, 17 October 2016 (EDT)

I do realize that not everyone is a Christian on this wiki. Religious? False. Everyone has their own religion even those who aren't for religions like Bazooka (reference). Citing the Bible as a source for information is related to some subjects, but only very few if not a handful. It can help out a situation if necessary. I am very strong when it come to the Bible. If there is debate, the people who are in debate must realize that the debate they are having isn't relative to the wiki in any way. I am very strong in my faith. As far as I am concern, debate on whether or not I should use the Bible if I can use it is done. If there is a rule against that made by humans, let me tell you now and hopefully I won't have to repeat myself, I obey God whether than man. This is a principle in my life. I came onto this wiki to help out this wiki as best as I can not to start a war amongst this wiki. Here is my advice on this matter, don't heat up the fire, someone will get burned from it. If you take that advice, we should get along very smoothly and happily. Keep contributing to the Wiki :) (and not to the war of religions).   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 20:51, 17 October 2016 (EDT)

Alright, I think everything has been said now. The fire you mentioned may be doused and left alone.

A quick thing

If your talk page gets too long, you can always feel free to archive it. To do this you'll need to move your current talk page (this one) to User talk:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/Archive 1 by clicking the move tab above. But that's entirely up to you as you don't have to do it right now but it does help you find some older messages. :) The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits)   02:12, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

If you haven't seen, I am archiving 40 of these things, and I won't archive until 41. I have the ability to copy and paste things. I know what I am doing. OK. I know how to move a page, but I am not moving this page if there is something to talk about.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 9:06, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

Re: Clarification

Not 100% sure, but what I said in the proposal was that Yoshi's Island is the games that involve Baby Mario. So go with that for now. - Reboot (talk) 19:18, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

You know, Once And Only Once doesn't mean "leave nowhere." You should have waited until you had at least moved stuff to Yoshi's Island (series) before removing it from the page. And left the stuff that's not going on either that or Yoshi puzzles behind. - Reboot (talk) 20:59, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

I put it on my wiki work page, that is why I deleted all that content.

Doesn't matter, you can work on a rewrite in your own userspace, but you can't purge the mainspace content while you do so.

Also, just because a game doesn't have Baby Mario (all that is on franchise except Safari and color Yoshis and intro) doesn't mean that it isn't part of Yoshi's Island.

Well, it's what I said in the proposal. That doesn't mean it's fixed forever - there's ABSOLUTELY room for discussion - but it's the starting point per vote.

About Yoshi's Safari. I put it on Yoshi puzzles, yet you put it back on the franchise page without removing it. Should it stay on the puzzles page or the franchise page.

...why in the Underwhere did you put a rail shooter on a puzzles page? Just, no. - Reboot (talk) 21:40, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

I'll leave the rest for now, but for one thing...

As for the third part, I put [Yoshi's Safari on the puzzles page] since there was no place to put it.

The proposal was explicit:

Yoshi
  • Yoshi (franchise) - overview page. As above
    • Yoshi's Island (series) - all the Yoshi+Baby Mario(/etc) games
    • Yoshi puzzles - could use a better name, but Yoshi, Yoshi's Cookie, Tetris Attack
    • The remainder remain on Yoshi (franchise) for now

That's what passed. So it's what gets implemented for now - Reboot (talk) 23:37, 18 October 2016 (EDT)

What to do?

I'll help you, but what exactly do we need to do? --  (talk · edits) 14:18, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

I am working on changing all the things that say Yoshi (series) to Yoshi (franchise), Yoshi's Island (series), or Yoshi puzzles depending on the situation. You can work on those main pages to see what can be done in them. Sorry Reboot.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 14:12, 19 October 2016 (EDT) 14:21, 19 October 2016 (EDT)
All right, I'll see what I can do. --  (talk · edits) 14:23, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

Signature tip

Hi there. I saw this, and wondered if you always type your signature subpage manually when adding comments? In your preferences, you can actually add {{subst:nosubst|User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} in the "signature" box, and then you can simply sign all your comments with ~~~~ which will show your signature with a timestamp. This would make it much easier than typing out your signature page each time, hope this helps!

  Shokora (talk · edits) 15:21, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

Nope. All it comes out to be is {{subst:nonsubst|User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} (talk) 15:24, 19 October 2016 (EDT). I usually just copy and paste my sig, but for some reason, I am typing my sig after not copying it, yet I have a place not on this wiki to copy from (word).   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 15:24, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

That's because you typed "nonsubst", just a little typo. Copy and past this into your preferences, and see how that goes:

Try ticking the little "wikitext" checkbox, that should definitely be it.

Why didn't you tell me that earlier? It would have save me a bunch of copying and pasting.  Yoshi the SSM (talk) 15:54, 19 October 2016 (EDT)

I thought it would have already been ticked by default.

Dream Team

You said on the userpage to give a reason to recommend Dream Team, so here I am! I haven't played the game, but I will soon and I know a lot about it already, so here we go! For one the story is waaaaay better (as in complex). For another thing, there more unique characters. However, there is also more returning characters than in some other M&L games, so that's a plus for you, considering one of your reasons for Paper Jam. Also, the Giant battles in Dream Team seem about ten times better than the Papercraft battles, though that's just my opinion. Like in Inside Story (which you liked), you swap between 2D and 3D worlds. While you can play as bowser :(, you can play as Dreamy Luigi and his many forms :). But the best part about Dreamy Luigi is that is there can be a million of him at once! And who doesn't want more Luigis? Anyway, that's what I have to say about Dream Team. Some of this is just my opinion and you may not agree, but I wanted to say something anyway.
  Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 19:57, 20 October 2016 (EDT)

Yoshi's Island (series)

I added Yoshi to Characters and Yoshis to Species. I know you took Bowser out of the article, but he should be put back in, because a character or species being part of the whole franchise does not mean they shouldn't be included in the individual series articles. Look at Donkey Kong Country (series) and Donkey Kong (franchise) to see what I mean. --  (talk · edits) 17:45, 21 October 2016 (EDT)

OK, If you do that, then remember that Bowser has appeared in Yoshi's Safari and some Yoshi puzzles as well.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 17:48, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
Sure. I won't add him yet, though. I was telling you mainly because I didn't want you to have a problem with me adding Yoshi and the Yoshis.

Question

How come you don't allow an ESRB rating over E 10+ if you're as old as you said previously? --  (talk · edits) 23:38, 25 October 2016 (EDT)

I do allow for some E10+ ratings, but I tend to play E games. E10+ games should not be the first game a child under 10 should play because then they will think that all games are like the game they played. Also, many of those games tend to be more towards T ratings, which I don't play. But for those who don't have this standard, I want them to at least play games in their age group.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 12:37, 26 October 2016 (EDT)
I understand that, but you said how old you are, and it seems to me that someone at your age would be old enough to play T, or maybe even M games. (Although I can see why you might not want to play M games even at that age.) I mean, I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl before I was a teenager. --  (talk · edits) 19:18, 26 October 2016 (EDT)

I don't browse Youtube, because that can be dangerous. I will watch videos that a website I trust, like this one, link to. Also, I watch Peanut Butter Gamer, because he's fairly clean, and I also listen to Parry Gripp's songs, which are fun and family friendly.

Your "friend request" talk archive

Hello. I think it would be best that your friend request archive is put to a stop, as it goes against multiple userspace guidelines. Your user talk page should only be archived when it becomes too large, and the content should be archived by moving the actual page, which preserves the history. And "archiving individual sections immediately after every conversation ends" is explicitly disallowed anyway.

Some exceptions are made for subpages that serve the wiki. This, for example. But a friend request archive does not fit this description. The content should be moved back to your main talk page, and then the archive will be deleted by a member of staff. Thanks

  Shokora (talk · edits) 11:53, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

OK, but I want to keep them separate. So I will wait until there is more. I will keep the page viewable, but uncreatable. Although it doesn't help the mainspace, it could help users search for their individual friend request to see if they want to edit it or just to see it. It also keeps everything organized for me. It can be deleted until I have enough to fill it (40) and 10 requests at a time instead of 1 afterwards.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 12:11, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

Hmm, no. Just archive your talk content in one big chunk: don't go splitting content into separate archives afterwards, because that would break up the page's history. But are you really expecting to receive more than 40 friend requests anyway?

  Shokora (talk · edits) 12:21, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

I guess you're right. I don't know if I would ever reach 40. I guess I'll archive the friend requests with the respected archive. I'll do the math to calculate the number needed. Any suggestions if my friends want to view their individual archive? Or should I just let them try to figure that out themselves?   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 12:29, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

Perhaps note from which time period your archive is from, like I have done, so that option of navigation is available if users want to view past conversations with you.

  Shokora (talk · edits) 12:34, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

Made the appropriate adjustments to make sure the archiving goes smoothly. I don't have a set time intervolve like you do. Archives will be exact to the date first message for beginning and the last message for ending. Speaking of archives, I need to archive it soon. Not now, but very soon.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 12:48, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

Lightning Orb Sprite

Very good. Now that temporary image on the page can be changed to a more permanent image.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 20:25, 7 November 2016 (EST)
No, keep the old image. It gives a better idea of what of the Orb is used for. Use both images. Notice that I didn't delete the screenshot of Spike Ball when I uploaded a sprite. It's good to have both.

Rules

How come you mentioned "I am Yoshi" in your sixth rule? Speaking of which, my Userbox Tower reached the bottom of the page. What do you think?
  Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 20:30, 7 November 2016 (EST)

I am mentioning that you are special case since you don't do friend requests and I can remove it if you want. Also, I think the userbox tower is good. I hope that is a lot of information when you're adding SMS. I will include this as part of your userbox added request (which is an almost the same as a friend request except it is from a user who doesn't do friend requests) since it is relatable.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 20:42, 7 November 2016 (EST)
The thing about friend requests with me is I don't read someone's userpage and say "Hey, he seems like a nice guy. Hey dude, wanna be friends?" Either I meet them like I met you, with you giving me tips, or I give them tips, or I ask them about something. Overtime, we work on more together and eventually I'll decide that they are a worthy co-worker. There's another thing. People will only get a userbox if they work with me on wiki matters. This is a wiki, not social media. I'm not adding a friend userbox because I like hanging out with someone online.
  Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 22:16, 7 November 2016 (EST)
I feel the same way about people on this wiki. But co-worker isn't the word I would use; it is friend. And just like real life, anyone will make friends and enemies on this wiki. And wikis are a type of social media where a person shares information they have learned. On this wiki, it is about Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Wario with the inclusion of Super Smash Bros. because Mario and some others appeared there (like many of these wikis which have characters in the SSB series do). Because it is not focused on individuals (except for userpages), making friends (or co-workers) and enemies is a side effect of the work a person does by either giving others some tips or tricks about the wiki.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 00:04, 8 November 2016 (EST)
