The item infobox is used to give information on power-ups and other items, obstacles or objects which do not have a more adequate infobox.

Usage

{{item infobox
|title=
|image=
|description=
|first_appearance=
|latest_appearance=
|effect=
|variant_of=
|variants=
|related=
|comparable=
|notable=
}}
Syntax
|title= By default, this is not necessary, as it will automatically use the article title sans identifier. For special cases, it can be manually specified.
|image= A representative image of the item - ideally, artwork from the most recently released game.
|description= In-game description of the item. Do not use this for common items that have multiple descriptions across games and supporting material.
|first_appearance= The first game, book, cartoon episode, comic issue, movie, etc. that the item appeared in.
For items who first appeared in mangas, the manga's chapter should be listed alongside the title (e.g. Super Mario Kodansha manga ("Star Road to Bowser's Castle")). If the exact chapter is unknown, the volume may be used instead.[Proposal 1]
|latest_appearance= The latest game and other media that the item has appeared in. This does not include upcoming games: the game must have been released before the infobox can be updated.[Proposal 2]
Like the first appearance, the chapter or volume should be listed alongside manga titles when applicable.[Proposal 1]
|effect= What this item does to its user.
|variant_of= A subject that the item is based on.
|variants= Any subjects which are considered subtypes of the item.
|related= A subject with a variant-type relationship with the item in which there are significant visual and/or behavioral differences between the two. Alternatively used if it's not clear which is the variant of which (if either).
|comparable= Similar subjects that are not necessarily based on one another.
|notable= Particular individual examples of the item.
