Nintendo Land is an upcoming launch title for the Wii U, which will be released in Holiday 2012. The game's setting is based on a virtual theme park, containing twelve minigames built around various Nintendo franchises, including four based on Mario and its subseries. The minigames will be played using the Wii U GamePad alongside up to four Wii Remotes (with Nunchuks), and are intended to showcase the many features of the new system.[1]

Nintendo Land features games based upon:
- Super Mario, named "Mario Chase"
- Luigi's Mansion, named "Luigi's Ghost Mansion"[2]
- Yoshi, named "Yoshi's Fruit Cart"
- Donkey Kong, named "Donkey Kong's Crash Course"[3]
- The Legend of Zelda, named "The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest"[4]
- Metroid named "Metroid Blast"
- Pikmin, named "Pikmin Adventure"
- Animal Crossing, named "Animal Crossing: Sweet Day"
- F-Zero, named "Captain Falcon’s Twister Race"
- Game & Watch, named "Octopus Dance", specifically.
- Balloon Fight named "Balloon Trip Breeze"
- Nazo no Murasame Jō, named "Takamaru's Ninja Castle"[5]
