Grouchy Possessor

The Grouchy Possessor is the first boss Luigi faces in the Nintendo 3DS game Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. He is fought in the Gloomy Mansion's Cellar where he has taken over the body of a spider queen. The Grouchy Possessor is the cause of the spider web infestation inside the mansion and he also has the second Dark Moon piece.
Appearance
The spider he possesses is large and purple. She has four green eyes, a red abdomen, and red and purple legs.
Outside of the spider, the Grouchy Possessor looks like a white ghost with a large horn in the middle of his head. The Dark Moon piece can be seen inside of him.
Battle
During battle, the Grouchy Possessor may attack in several different ways. If Luigi approaches him, he will attack Luigi with his front legs. While Luigi is pulling the webbing from the Possessor's web, it will summon red spiders to attack Luigi. The Grouchy Possessor will also spit out purple goop that travels in a straight line. If Luigi is hit while he is dragging the webbing, he will let go of it and the process needs to be repeated. Each phase change, the Grouchy Possessor will attempt to ram into Luigi.
While outside of the spider, the Grouchy Possessor will attack by charging into Luigi. After this attack, the Grouchy Possessor will be temporarily stunned.
In order to attack the Grouchy Possessor while possessing the spider queen, Luigi must blind him with the Strobulb when his eyes open. The Grouchy Possessor will climb onto the web and Luigi must simply use the Poltergust 5000 to drag a wad of webbing to a knight holding a torch nearby. Doing so will cause the web to burn and the Grouchy Possessor to fall onto its back. This will reveal its true form, which needs to be stunned with the Strobulb in order to be captured. Repeating the phase twice will earn Luigi a victory.
