Yume Kōjō '87 was an event sponsored by Fuji TV held from July 18th to August 30th, 1987.[1] It was meant to represent a new generation of media that would arrive in the years to come, with various technical displays, as well as advertise Fuji TV's fall lineup of shows. To help promote the event, Fuji TV partnered with Nintendo to create Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, the game which would serve as the strong base for Super Mario Bros. 2 outside of Japan.

Legacy

Much of the technology on display at Yume Kōjō '87 would go on to become commonplace in Japan and elsewhere, e.g. 3D movies. Despite this, the event quickly into obscurity. In mid-2015, a book was obtained that documented the vast majority of it.
