Ice Mario has the ability to walk on water by freezing it.
Ice Mario is a form that Mario takes on in Super Mario Galaxy when he grabs an Ice Flower. The result allows him to walk on water and lava by freezing it, creating huge snowflakes that act as temporary platforms.
Trivia
Ice Mario bears an eerie resemblance to Shadow Mario, except for the fact that his eyes are not red. Whether this is a coincidence or not is unknown.
