Podley is the proprietor of Podley's Place, a soda bar in Rogueport. He hails from the Beanbean Kingdom and brought his supply of Chuckola Cola with him to Rogueport. Many residents of Rogueport frequently go to bar and as a result, Podley hears all the gossip that is going about town. For example, Podley explains to Mario that Bobbery’s depression is a result of his wife’s death.
Apparently, Podley had a romantic relationship with Eve, a woman from Twilight Town who currently lives with her three children.
