It is written "The door in the basement requires 30 stars to open and holds Dire, Dire Docks and Bowser in the Fire Sea behind it." But there are more levels : Hazy Maze Cave, Lethal Lava Land, Shifting Sand Land Should we add those 3 levels, or removes the 2 levels already added ? Banon (talk) 16:08, 21 October 2012 (EDT)

No, you probably mean the door with keyhole. World10 (talk) 16:11, 21 October 2012 (EDT)

Yes, I have mistaken them. Sorry. Banon (talk) 16:25, 21 October 2012 (EDT)

Name[edit]

The game's manual refers to these as "★ doors" on both page 16 and 17. Shouldn't we move this page to that? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:36, April 12, 2020 (EDT)

This name apparently refers to all doors with a star (such as those on the first floor, which give access to the first courses), and not just the four covered in the article. This is most evident on page 17, which also mentions the Key doors.

Link's edit summary from the move to this name is also pertinent here, I think. --ExdeathIcon.png Lord G. matters. ExdeathIcon.png 20:37, April 12, 2020 (EDT)
Guess I hadn't thought of that. I just assumed manual took priority, but forgot about the minor doors since they never really cross my mind ever. At the same time, I'm starting to wonder how much the subjects should be separated, since the third of these functions fairly similarly to the normal type. Mmm, never mind, suppose there actually are a few more differences than I thought (namely being required to open, which for a completionist like me is an alien distinction). Rewrote the article in light of all this. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:27, April 12, 2020 (EDT)
