Reminder[edit]
Please stop adding speculation into articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Please do not add speculative information without providing a source. Thanks. Mario JC 21:05, 19 October 2016 (EDT)
Image Category Reminder[edit]
Hello, WaluigiWarrior. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
File:Pauline Tipping Stars artwork.png was missing Category:Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars Images. Also, you forgot to select the license (character-artwork
) in a drop-down below the summary box on Special:Upload. Not doing these things will result in them showing up in Special:UncategorizedFiles. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 21:51, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
Rosalinators[edit]
Your second account, which you used for a while before returning to this account, has now been blocked, and the talk page holding past reminder history has been moved over. Another reminder that creating multiple accounts is prohibited, so all edits must be made in this account (which is your original account). Mario JC 22:34, 21 September 2017 (EDT)
Italics[edit]
When writing game titles, please remember to format them in italics. So for Super Mario Land, the coding would be Super Mario Land
Thanks. Mario JC 22:43, 27 September 2017 (EDT)
Please stop forgetting italics on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |

This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (forgetting italics) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
There have been a number of instances where you've forgotten. Please remember as it is an important guideline; the coding is simple and has been explained to you already above, and becomes second nature in editing as you continue remembering to use them. Mario JC 06:11, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
Uploads[edit]
Hello, WaluigiWarrior. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello! In your recent upload, you forgot to fill out the aboutfile. Please remember to either fill it out or remove it next time you upload a file. Also, please remember to follow the image category reminder above, as you forgot to add Category:Super Mario Odyssey Images. Thanks! --TheFlameChomp (talk) 13:55, 22 October 2017 (EDT)
Paper Toad[edit]
Hello! Just so you know, articles on paper characters or enemies, such as Paper Toad, only cover their Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam appearance, as it is the only game where they are specifically stated to be separate characters. The Paper Mario series characters are covered on the regular articles, such as Toad (species). --TheFlameChomp (talk) 18:04, 21 November 2017 (EST)
Previewing your edits[edit]
Use the "Show preview" button to see what your edit will look like before saving it. This way, you can avoid further situations where you end up making a cluster of edits simply correcting coding mistakes. 21:55, 1 March 2018 (EST)
Re:Pauline's new render[edit]
No, it's from Mario Party 10, but the important part is that it was used in Super Mario Run, which is an actual game in the series. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:59, September 27, 2019 (EDT)
Ohhh okay, I see what you mean.

Duplicates[edit]
Your last two uploads already exist on the wiki (File:MKT Peach Wedding.jpg and File:SMO Concept art Key artwork.jpg). Please make sure you look through relevant articles, galleries and categories (Gallery:Mario Kart Tour, Category:The Art of Super Mario Odyssey Images etc. - other galleries/categories can be found on Template:Galleries and Category:MarioWiki images) to check if they exist first before uploading.
Also, please review the category reminder you received above, as well as this one:
Hello, WaluigiWarrior. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:
When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use character-artwork. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
