Image category reminder

Hello, YoYo. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Company images Film images Game images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Website images Company media files Film media files Game media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files Website media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. The page(s) you recently created (Lake Kingdom) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Make sure there is no other article about the same subject with a different title, especially for conjectural articles. Make sure the article has enough information to make it a worthwhile read (i.e. it does more than state the obvious, such as "Luigi's Mansion is a mansion that is owned by Luigi"). Overly short articles are known as stubs and their creation is strongly discouraged; it is better to amass enough information to make a solid article right off the bat instead. Make sure the article is significant enough in the Super Mario franchise to have its own article. Lake Kingdom was deleted to to lacking pretty much all information. At the moment, there isn't a lot of info to go off of to make a justifiable article for it. Once more information becomes available, then the page can be recreated (by you or someone else). Feel free to keep adding information on an external page, such as a Word document or MarioWiki sandbox, and post the information once enough has been found. 15:58, 6 October 2017 (EDT)

Replacing images

Thanks for the images for the Odyssey kingdoms. Just letting you know that if the replacement file looks pretty similar to and is the same format as the one being replaced, you can just click on the "Upload a new version of this file" at the bottom of the existing file page, rather than upload a separate file altogether. That way there are no two similar images lying around and both versions are in one page, and we can change between them if needed. Mario JC 22:07, 6 November 2017 (EST)

We aren't treating you "like a criminal" because we're giving you warnings for violating our rules. We aren't putting you on probation, giving you community service, fining you or putting you in prison. You aren't the victim here. We're merely enforcing a policy that you have to follow if you want to use and edit our site. Your actions can, and will, have consequences. That's not how it works, and even if you were allowed to use the new account your current warnings would be carried over. The important thing to remember is that users can and often do improve over time, just do your best to learn from this experience and put it behind you. -- Too Bad! I appreciate that you realise the error of your ways, but I think you should be aware that there are boundaries for jokes, not just here but reality in general, and you did go too far with what you said about me being a fan of Kingdom Hearts. the people ive usually spent time around online have completely different boundaries for jokes, i let that blind me by assuming everyone shares those boundaries. you should know theres nothing wrong with being a fan of certain games and whatnot, i just assumed that everyone shared the same or had similar boundaries. Hello, this punishment for your behavior is nothing personal. I'd advise you stop obsessing over the infraction. We cannot permit you to use your new account regardless (you may only have one account). Your apology was sufficient enough to communicate that what you did ultimately was hurtful regardless of intent, so I'd advise to move on. It is shocking and upsetting to get reprimanded for actions you did not intend to cause harm, but going on about it just makes the situation worse. I don't hold grudges against any user: time heals, and perhaps you should take time off this wiki to think about what you did, and what you could do to improve your behavior.
