Shell Game is a 1-Player minigame found in Mario Party. Its name alludes to the eponymous game, upon which this minigame is based. This minigame shares its setting with Knock Block Tower, taking place on top of a castle tower.

Introduction[edit]

Four identical Koopa Troopas open their Treasure Chests. A pile of Coins flies into a random chest. The chests close, and the Koopas get into their shells and shuffle around.

Gameplay[edit]

The object of this minigame is to watch the Koopa Troopa with the Treasure Chest and pick the same one after the shells have shuffled. If the player picks the wrong Koopa Troopa or runs out of time, five Coins are lost as a result from losing the minigame. The game rewards the player with ten Coins if the minigame is won.

The player is able to jump, punch, and hip-drop in this minigame. None of these moves are of use when the player interacts with the shells.

The minigame can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for 200 Coins when it is available for purchase.

Ending[edit]

If the player picks the right shell, the Coins fly toward them, and the player does a winning pose. If not, the correct Koopa opens its chest with the Coins falling off the tower. The player slumps in disappointment.
