Imounu is a caterpillar-like boss found inside Bowser's Body in Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!!. The creature wears a ribbon on her head, has angry eyes, and a funnel-like snout, similar to Birdo's trunk. She has the body somewhat similar to a Wiggler, only with small, white feet, and a white/yellow line splitting the wiggler-birdo's colors. One half green-blue, and the other side pink. One of her attacks turns Imounu completely red from angerness, like wigglers do, and charge at one of the Mario Bros., they must counter this attack using their hammers.
Imounu came from a large carrot of a Wiggler's garden, Bowser was forced to eat the carrot and then battled the Wiggler. A bit after beating the Wiggler, Bowser got a major stomachache that came from Imounu. The Mario Bros defeat Imounu and continue their adventure. Later, Imounu reveals that she is actually Sage Imounu, the guardian of the first Star Vaccine.
Imounu's name is derived from 「芋虫」 imomushi, meaning hornworm.
