Luigi, Peach, and, Mario humans, and Yoshi, a dinosaur about to be eaten by a T-Rex, another type of dinosaur.

Dinosaurs are massive reptilian creatures that have appeared in many Mario games. Dinosaurs come in all shapes and sizes, they range from as small as a cat to as big as a bus. The dinosaur species is very diverse. Dinosaurs live in all types of biomes which they come well suited for. Some dinosaurs may be very delicate and solemn such as Dorrie, a dinosaur who resides in the dangerous Hazy Maze Cave. On the other hand some dinosaurs are very vicious and intelligent such as Reznor who also happens to have the deadly ability to spew fire balls. Dinosaurs live on the Mushroom Planet and have even been seen in other galaxies such as the Good Egg Galaxy and Melty Molten Galaxy. Dinosaurs also used to live in the real world but have long been dead for 65 million years. This is because of the devastating effects of an asteroid that struck the Earth; today you can still find their fossils.

"Dino World"

In the Super Mario Bros. live-action film, an alternate, unnamed version of Earth is revealed to exist; this parallel Earth was brought into creation when a meteorite struck the true Earth, causing spatial and dimensional disturbances, resulting in the creation of the alternate Earth, which the dinosaurs, at least those who weren't killed, and a few other creatures were flung to.

On this Earth, various types of dinosaurs evolved into humanoid creatures, though some, such as Yoshi, seemed to have retained their reptilian forms. Aside from one rundown city, Dinohatten, this Earth is a desert wasteland, lacking various resources.

The Cowazaurus is briefly seen in the Super Mario World (TV series) episode Quest for Pizza. The Cowazaurus may be an ancestor of the cow for it also has an udder and black and white spots like a cow, hence the name.
