The D.D.s return in Wario Land II. Their attack pattern remains exactly the same as it was in the previous game, though they and their boomerangs are physically smaller by a small amount, and the latter spin faster. Like the previous game, they are classified as heavy enemies in this game, meaning that Wario will slow down significantly when carrying one. In the Game Boy Color version, they are usually given an orange, mint green, and dark blue palette.

In Defeat four ducks!, the level's objective is to seek and defeat four of them. In the Game Boy Color re-release, these are given a deep red, blue, and black color palette.

Additionally, an unlockable minigame known as Flagman D-D can be accessed by completing the game with 100%. It features a D.D. as a host, along with a White puff and a Gugi. The minigame itself was a remake of the Game & Watch title Flagman.
