Template:Levelbox A snow level where the player must get to the top of the Icy Mountain, while avoiding Cooligans, Fuzzies, and Mega Fuzzies. The first Star Coin is just outside a pipe that spawns Cooligans, and can be easily obtained by sliding with the Penguin Suit. The second one is near another pipe, and can be obtained with a wall jump, though sliding is still recommended. The last one is tricky, as the player must freeze a Fuzzy to use it as a platform to reach it.
Layout
Instead of the typical horizontal level, this level goes up meaning Mario must constantly jump to move upward through the level, similar to World 3-5. At the beginning of the level, Mario must hit a Question Switch that activates a platform which allows Mario to get onto the next platform. Towards the middle, there various Fuzzys and Mega Fuzzys riding wires. At the end, Mario must jump some Brick Blocks moving on wire to reach the Flagpole.
Star Coins
Star Coin 1: This Star Coin is down a narrow chute. It is recommended that the player use a Penguin Suit to slide down while jumping over the Cooligans. Star Coin 2: On the left side of the screen. Mario must wall jump of the small block to reach it. Star Coin 3: Like most of the third Star Coins in World 9, this one is a bit trickier than the first two. This one requires a Penguin Suit. Mario must freeze the Fuzzy rotating on the wire and use that as a platform to reach the Star Coin.
