Great Cleave is one of Kat & Ana's microgames in WarioWare: Move It!

Gameplay[edit]

The player controls a knight and must swing a sword to protect a princess from an apple monster. If the player swings and misses, the knight will attempt to pull the sword from the ground in attempt to get another swing. When done so successfully, the apple monster explodes and both the knight and princess cheer. If the player fails, the monster punches the knight and the princess faints.

  • Level 1: The player must slay a yellow apple monster who will only pop out.
  • Level 2: The player must slay a red apple monster. A regular apple will pop out first to fake-out the player before the monster appears.
  • Level 3: The player must slay a purple apple monster. A regular apple will pop out and a barrel is thrown in front to fake-out the player before the monster appears.

In multiplayer, the players respectively control a blue knight and an orange knight. Each difficulty is a level higher than their single-player counterpart:

  • Level 1: Same as Level 2 with one player.
  • Level 2: Same as Level 3 with one player.
  • Level 3: Both players must each slay a red apple monster. The same distractions from Level 3 with one player appear here. If only one player defeats their monster, their knight will look toward the other player's knight in confusion and then fall in despair.

Trivia[edit]

  • The princess' design bears a heavy resemblance to Princess Shokora's "young princess" appearance, with an outfit and red hair that match those that she wears in Wario Land 4.
