The Mario Clone is an enemy that can be made by Belome in his temple in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. As Mario is always in the party, this clone always has a chance of being created in battle, and up to two clones can be active. In the original game, if Belome is defeated first, any remaining clones still have to be defeated, whereas in the remake, any remaining clones are defeated instantly. As revealed by his thought, the Mario Clone keeps up the silent protagonist keyfabe.

It's unclear what this Mario Clone is thinking. Why can't he use gestures to convey his thoughts like the real one?
