A Slime is a gooey creature made of slime. Slimes are usually colorless, however in the Mario Party 4 mini-game Slime Time, it is shown that Slimes come in many colors. Slimes primarily live in Yoshi's Island, but mainly appear in Tap-Tap the Red Nose's Fort, and Bowser's Castle, carrying keys. Here, they are in disguise as blocks, until a Yoshi approaches them, then they turn into their true form. Like Salvo the Slime, they cannot directly harm Yoshi and Baby Mario, only hoping to push them into either a hot or spiky demise, or hit them with enough. However, they do not shed Lemon Drops when hit with Eggs, something only Salvo the Slime can do. If a Slime is hit by a seed or egg, they get smaller and smaller until they disapear. The same effect happens to the Slime if it falls into a Spike or lava pit.
Slimes also appear in Wario Land . Here they appear as small, pink blobs that
stay in one place. If Wario ran into one, it would puff up, making Wario hit the
ceiling, which was sometimes Spikes .
Salvo the Slime was originally a Lemon Drop, but was transformed into a Slime.
