- In the Nintendo Direct from June 9, 2026, the limited-time Nintendo Switch Online DK Challenge Event was announced for Nintendo Switch 2, taking place from June 9–September 1, 2026. Additionally, a Super Mario Bros. collaboration event was announced for Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush for the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary, with the first wave to take place from June 9–June 30, 2026.
- The 18 music tracks from Mario Kart World that arrange music from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 were made available on the Nintendo Music app (pictured) on June 8, 2026.
- Donkey Kong 64 was released on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Classics on June 3, 2026.
- 130 music tracks from Mario Kart World were made available on the Nintendo Music app on June 1, 2026. Tracks that play during Free Roam will be added to the service regularly.
