The Temple Key is an item in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It is found in Monstro Town on the roof of a house. By repeatedly talking to the friendly Thwomp in the house, it will be knocked to the ground. If the player continues talking to the Thwomp without collecting the key, it will eventually fall off the side of the map and return to the roof. With it, Mario can get past the living golden statue of Belome guarding the treasure room in Belome Temple.
