Corona, also known as Flare, is an attack most often used by boss enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its Nintendo Switch remake. When used, The enemy summons a large yellow orb, which releases a yellow beam that pans around it on the screen, attacking all members of Mario's party, doing significant damage. In the remake, the yellow orb of Flare has now been turned into a sun throwing solar winds around.

An unused Bahamutt used the Chain Saw attack, which used the Flare animation.[1]

"Corona" means "crown" in Spanish and Latin, and the corona is also the extended outer atmosphere surrounding the sun and other stars. This relation is further emphasized by its attack animation in the remake. Its renaming to Flare may be a reference to solar flares, and it may also be a reference to the Final Fantasy attack of the same name.
