Fly Guy Patrol is the fourth mission of Twinsy Tropics in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

Layout[edit]

The mission occurs in a chain of islands and paper terrain. Fly Guys patrol the area, and Mario and co. must rescue fifteen Paper Toads without being spotted. The first Paper Toad is just to the north of a Fly Guy spotting west and east. Heading east, the next Paper Toad is behind a Fly Guy moving clockwise. After heading to the south and west and evading a west-east Fly Guy and north-south Fly Guy, Mario and co. will end up in an area with two clockwise-moving Fly Guys and another Paper Toad, followed by a north-south Fly Guy and yet another Paper Toad. Yet another Paper Toad is encountered out in the open, and heading due north across a bridge will take Mario and co. to an area with ascending-descending Fly Guys focused on still another Paper Toad. After going back across the bridge and heading west, Mario and co. will encounter four more Paper Toads: one is at the top of the hill guarded by two counterclockwise-moving Fly Guys, two are on the shoreline, and one is at the center of the peninsula, guarded by a Fly Guy facing every cardinal direction. Mario and co. must then head to the south and the east to encounter two more Paper Toads, guarded by two clockwise-moving Fly Guys. They will then reach a donut-shaped isle, where two Paper Toads are being guarded by a clockwise-moving Fly Guy on the south side, and the last Paper Toad guarded by six Fly Guys facing every cardinal direction on the north side.

Should a Fly Guy successfully spot the group, Mario and co. are given two more tries on the mission, and failure on the third try results in a "Too Bad!"

In the Hard Mode variant, Mario and co. cannot get spotted once.
