The '''Gray Magikoopa''' is a special kind of [[Magikoopa]] that first appeared in ''[[Paper Mario]]'', but are abbreviated as '''GRY Magikoopa''' in the game. The Gray Magikoopas can turn allies [[invisible]], and appear solely in the [[Crystal Palace]]. Unlike the game's other Magikoopa colors, Gray Magikoopas are never shown riding broomsticks, though they have [[List of Paper Mario pre-release and unused content|unused]] sprites for it. Like all [[Magikoopa]]s, they duplicate themselves or [[flee|run away]] if alone in battle. In ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'', their abilities are given to [[Green Magikoopa]]s.
