The second area

In the GBA version only, the level opens with a cinematic showing Mario performing a Handstand on a Bucket Man.

In the first area, the player has to ride lifts around some platforms and avoiding spikes. Once the player is able, they need to jump from one set of lifts to the next set above them and ride it to the stairs on the left. At the top of the stairs is a Direction Switch, which will change the direction of the moving lifts when pressed. After doing so, the player needs to ride a lift to the right until they are able to press a blue Color Switch, which will create a platform above and allow the player to collect the Key. With the Key in hand, the player needs to carefully fall back down to the start of the level and make their way back to the Direction Switch on the stairs again. After pressing the button, the player has to toss the Key up onto the conveyor belt above and then perform a Handstand Jump off of a lift to reach the locked door, which the Key will end up at.

In the second area, the player can either perform a Handstand Jump off of a Bucket Man or a Handstand Double Jump off of the ground to reach a wire above. Swinging and jumping up to reach another wire, the player needs to move left and drop down onto a platform. Performing a Handstand Jump on the Bucket Man will get it to move across spikes as the player deflects debris from the Brickman above. On the other side of the spikes, the player can hit a yellow Color Switch to climb a ladder and loop around to collect a 1-Up Mushroom while avoiding two Wrench Shy Guys and the blue present. To get to the Mini-Mario, the red Color Switch needs to be active, and the player has to climb down the ladder. The player needs to toss a Wrench Shy Guy onto the spikes and ride it while performing a Handstand to deflect the debris from the Brickman above.
