When Mario is in the Super Mario Bros. 3-inspired area at Green Energy Plant, the background music changes to match the original game. The ground, underground, castle, and athletic themes are played, with a variant of each song that plays while Mario uses the Flip ability. Roy battle

If Mario is inflicted with the rhythm or blue status effects, and after Roy mixes the paint to make black paint, a different music track replaces "ROYal Rumble." The rage effect speeds up the song, and unmotivated slows it down, while poison and self-conscious do not effect the battle music.
