Mama Kurara is a minor antagonist that only appears in chapter 1 of Super Mario-kun Volume 11. She is the mother of the Helmuts in the Kitchen Island waters.
While reaching the island, Mario, Yoshi, and Wario are pestered by a group of Helmuts. After knocking them out with Yoshi's fart bubbles, Mama Kurara appears, angered at what they did to her children, and starts chasing the heroes. While swimming away, a Pinwheel attacks the trio, but Mario grabs it and tosses it at Mama Kurara, cutting her into pieces.
