Defunct storesEdit

The Nintendo store in Al Faisaliah Mall (May 2012)

In May 2012, Nintendo opened a store at the Al Faisaliah Mall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the store was operated by Shas Samurai, Nintendo's Saudi representative.[13] However, the store is no longer listed on the mall's website, indicating that it must have closed.[14] The store likely closed sometime between 2019 and 2022: a page for it on the mall's website existed as late as August 2019,[15] and it was no longer listed as early as July 2022 (the mall had been renamed to Mode Mall at the time).[16]

Pop-up storesEdit

In late 2023 and throughout 2024, several pop-up stores opened around the world, selling previously exclusive merchandise from the Japanese Nintendo stores.

There was also a Nintendo Check-In Station that allowed visitors with Nintendo Accounts to receive a free sticker of a random Nintendo character.[17]

The Hong Kong store was located at K11 Art Mall. Similar to the Singapore store, customers could receive one of five stickers, one had artwork of Mario.[18]

The Taipei store was located in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi at Xinyi Place. Customers with a Nintendo Account could get one of five stickers; their designs were identical to those from the Hong Kong store.[19]

In addition to the pop-up stores in Asia, several were at conventions in Europe: Japan Expo Paris,[20] ZURICH POP CON,[21] Lucca Comics & Games,[22] and Manga Barcelona.[23]
