| The Paratroopea's main attack is swooping down at [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]] from the sky, which can be dodged and countered by [[jump]]ing. In the original game, if the Paratroopea dips a little before flying, they will target Luigi; otherwise, the target is Mario. In the remake, the Paratroopea will now pump one of their fists instead before attacking, using their right arm for Mario and their left for Luigi; the swoop attack is also much slower. Paratroopeas can also heal all other enemies in battle by spraying water droplets on them. When Paratroopeas take enough damage, they lose their wings and become regular Troopeas.

| In ''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions'', Paratroopeas appear as enemies in ''Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser'', where they are first fought in the level [[Don't Fear Flying Foes]]. They are Flying troopers, and attack by ramming into opponents. Their Special Skill, Cranium Crush, allows them to fly above an opponent and slam down on them.
