Room 2-5 (titled Room 1-5 in the British English version) is the fifth course of Tropical Island in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces Cuttacuttas.

The course features two Mini Marios.

Overview[edit]

The Mini Marios start out in two rooms both blocked off by colored gates: one Mini Mario starts on the top left near a red Color Switch, and the other begins on the bottom right near a blue Color Switch blocked by a yellow gate and joined by a Warp Pipe. One Mini Mario is in the top room, and the other two are in the bottom room alongside a red Color Switch. Both Mini Marios can jump to a higher level by using Yellow Springs after they raise the walls. In the middle of the level is an Elevator. The Goal Door is at the bottom right; to reach it, the player should activate the blue Color Switch, then, once the Cuttacutta blocking the door is on the elevator, direct it to the middle level. With the Cuttacutta away from the exit, the Mini Marios can then step on the red and yellow Color Switches in that order, then use the elevator to get off at the bottom level. The player should then bring the Cuttacutta to the top level, then take a Mini Mario to the middle level and step on the blue Color Switch at the end, avoiding the Bloopers that jump out along the way. The Mini Marios can then take the elevator back down and complete the level.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is located at the top right of the level. To obtain it, the player should first have the top Mini Mario jump on the red Color Switch, then use the nearby Yellow Spring to launch it to the topmost level. The player should then have the bottom Mini Mario step on the blue Color Switch to extend a blue gate in the top right corner. When the top Mini Mario approaches the course's only Blue Spring, it must either fall onto the spring from above or bounce on the spring to land on the blue gate and collect the card.
