Despite being last seen on the ocean floor, the S.S. Chuckola reappears in Cavi Cape in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, albeit with a different design. This is evidenced by the sign attached to a gate, in the original Japanese version of the game, calling the ship by its name. This reference was likely lost in the English version, as the ship's name "Vintage" was instead translated as an adjective. In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, the ship was redesigned to further resemble its new appearance from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, with the same sign now bearing the Chuckola Fruit insignia on the bottom right.<ref>{{cite|author=The Pipe Plaza|date=November 18, 2024|title=The S.S. Mario and Luigi visit the ship in order to retrieve the piece. Upon speaking to the captain, they learn that the ship sank long ago, when Teehee Valley was an ocean; so long that the sailors have all now become undead skeletons. The duo spots a sailor taking the Beanstar piece into another room, but a guard restricts their entry into said room without a Membership Card. He explains that the room is a cola cellar where they hold Chuckola Cola.

Trivia
* The Chuckola Cola drink from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is named ビンテージ・レッド ("Vintage Red") in the original Japanese, possibly referencing the S.S Chuckola's Japanese name.
