Same and Different World is a location in Mario's Early Years! Fun with Numbers. It is one of the seven islands in the game and is represented by a group of 3 goldfish and a shopping cart.

In this world, the player has to select the odd one out of a pattern. The first level involves selecting the different one of a group of Cows/Socks, Horses/Beds, and Boots/Trees. The second level involves a more complex version of the same with the player having to choose the one that is part of a different category (Fish/Writing Tools, Shoes/Kitchen Utensils and Shirts/Tools). The third involves finding the dissimilar area (Bathroom/Park, Living Room/Zebra and House Parts/Seal) while the fourth involves differences in various items (Crayon/Face, Lamp/Tire and Cow/Chair). After the player selects the correct answer, a character pops up to encourage them, then after three correct answers they move on to the next room via a pipe.

All four areas are set at twilight with stereotypical Mario hills watching amongst pillars. The player exits through a blue pipe in the last room.
