Super Mario Challenge was a show which aired on The Children’s Channel, It ran from 1990-1991 and aired at about 4.30 PM every weeknight. The presenter, John Lenahan, was a look a-like of Mario (and dressed in his clothes). Two guest players would have to do tasks all of which involved playing the Nintendo video games such as Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2 and then later after its release in 1991 Super Mario Bros. 3.
