Conformed, It was first refered to as Blooper in Papaer Mario and has kept the name since, Bloober was mainly used in Super Mario Brothers Deluxe.
:::::"Bloober" was how it appeared in the instruction manual to SMB and, IIRC, certain other sources (perhaps including games). "Blooper" predates Paper Mario by a number of years -- it's attested as far back as a 1989 Diamond Sticker Activity Album. It also appeared with a bit more official cachet in the 1993 SMAS Player's Guide, and probably many other sources I do not have. --Toadstool Forever 01:01, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
::::::It was still called Bloober in SMB3's instruction manual.  The official strategy guide which came out the same year (1990) called them Bloopers.--Platform 22:29, 21 September 2011 (EDT)

WRONG NAME?
aren't the "land bloopers" from SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE called Goopers? Lu-igi board 18:43, 27 October 2008 (EDT)
No, they are still called Bloopers. Unless you meant the boss Gooper Blooper. 19:01, 27 October 2008 (EDT)
Bloober/Blooper
I know that thoses ennemies were called Bloobers and that they are now called Bloopers. But in the "Super Mario Bros." section (and also in others sections) we call them Bloopers while they were currently know as Bloobers. And if you tell me that because the current name is Blooper we must call them Bloopers, why in the "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" section (and also in others sections) we call them Bloobers ?. We should either call them Blooper everywhere, or call them by the name they were know as by the time. (I don't know if you understood me)
:I think that it should first acknowledge the early name in the Super Mario Bros. section and the next few sections where they are known as Bloobers, and then call them Bloopers thereafter. As an example, Princess Peach was given the early name "Princess Toadstool" in the original Super Mario Bros., and the section informs the reader of this. It then calls her "Toadstool" in the rest of the section, and the next few sections until Super Mario 64, where she is known as "Peach". I think the Blooper article can take a similar approach.

green
In Super Mario Sunshine in Ricco Harbor to appear three colored Bloopers who Mario can ride for ottenure two Shine Sprites.  Since they are the important character I would say to create a page dedicated to them.
P.S. These Bloopers not have an official name so I think if you decide to create the page should add the Template:Conjecture.

A note to the opposers: saying that they don't have a name is not a valid stance in my opinion. A notable subject with no official name deserves an article as much as an officially-name one does. ====Oppose====
#King Pikante I think that it's crazy to have an article about two different colored Bloopers. Why? We don't even know their names and even though they maybe are important to get a Shine Sprite, there are also some other things that are important to get a star and they don't have an article. We just don't have enough info to make an article about them. If it would be created, there would be no real purpose for the article. If the same Bloopers maybe appeared in another game or stage, I would support this proposal, but they don't, so it is useless.
#MortonBoo99 Per King Pikante and my comment.  I mean after all, they're Bloopers.  They don't have different names.
#YoshiFan1200 Per King Pikante.
Comments
User:King Pikante Thinking like you did by following this logic the page Bowser's Claw would be useless so if that page there I think it could be even a page on colored Bloopers of Super Mario Sunshine. --Sonic98 (talk) 12:37, 12 February 2013 (EST)
Yes, Sonic98, but Bowser's claw is a separate object that has a name. The colored Bloopers are the exact same species as Bloopers AND they don't have a name. Bowser's Claw deserves it's own article because it is totally different than any other things in the mario series, while the colored bloopers are probably normal Bloopers with goop on them. Plus, Bowser's claw has a name.--King Pikante (talk) 16:35, 12 February 2013 (EST)
In fact they are real characters, you want a link to a video here you see these Bloopers so maybe you know what I mean?.--Sonic98 (talk) 12:25, 13 February 2013 (EST)
Do they talk? Are they a different species? Do they have a name? Answer me that, and if all three questions have the answer yes, then I will support. They are not characters because they don't talk and don't have a name. --King Pikante (talk) 13:15, 13 February 2013 (EST)
:King Pikante, Bowser's Claw is unnamed.  These Bloopers act very differently from the other bloopers in the game and are needed to get three shines, so I'm supporting this.  Also, if we have pages for Fluzzard Gliding and Bubble Blowing, we should have one for blooper surfing as well.--BowserJunior (<small>Talk</small>) 18:09, 13 February 2013 (EST)
::Guys, he is not going to create a page for each color, just one Surfing Blooper page.--BowserJunior (<small>Talk</small>) 00:33, 14 February 2013 (EST)
These Bloopers are important because, like BowserJunior said, they are NEEDED for three shines in the game. My only concern is that there might not not be enough to write about the Bloopers, and then the article might be a stub. --Mariotime11 (talk) 10:12, 16 February 2013 (EST)
:Articles are not stubs if there isn't a lot of information on the subject, only if they can be expanded. And of course, official names are not points for article qualification.--BowserJunior
:From what I've heard from this proposal, these Bloopers play a minor role in the game.  Even though other characters in other games play minor roles, these Bloopers play such a small role, I don't think they should have even 1 seperate article on the Surfing Bloopers.  User:MortonBoo99
Not trying to sound mean or anything, but the Bloopers in Sunshine may play a small role, but it is a very important one. THEY HELP MARIO GET THREE SHINE SPRITES, so if it wasn't for them, you would be three Shines short of completing the game. :Well...I'd say split, but the "flying out of water" function was adopted by normal bloopers in almost every game after TLL, and it's considered the same sprite in-game, so I'd say keep them merged. Somethingone (talk) 12:23, December 26, 2021 (EST)

separate sky blooper from normal blooper
First, the sky bloopers have a pink color, they are differentiated from the normal bloopers by being formally recognized as the variant that flies
Furthermore, the fact that the bloopers fly has only been a video game resource since or else we could also say that the color splash cheep cheep or the cheep cheep and urchin from paper jam can also fly.
In fact we have only seen floating non-flying bloopers, again this could again be a video game resource but this is more credible due to the current presentations of the bloopersSorbetti (talk)
