Unused "arrangement"?[edit]
In Mario Party: Island Tour, there is a version of this song that sounds very close to the original in the files which can be heard here. https://youtu.be/dTsY4-V2l2Q The only real difference is that this version is sequenced rather than streamed, leading to the piano sounding slightly lower quality. The sequence file for this song is titled "SEQ_BGM_ADVENTURE_POINT". Adventure Points are what Party Points are called in the Japanese version of Mario Party 9, implying that the song plays in this game when you recieve Party Points, just like in 9. However, in this game the menu theme plays instead in that scenario. https://youtu.be/jdFuUCcB7eA&t=2297 The song is not present in the games "sound test" either (though the sound test is missing quite a bit of music) so I don't know if it even plays in the game.
