Other characters named "Huey"[edit]

"His name comes from "hue", a term used to describe color." Actually, there are other characters named "Huey". For example, one of Donald Duck's nephews, along with Dewey and Louie. But this is the Mario Wiki, not the Disney Wiki. There is only one "Huey" in the Mario universe. Characters named "Huey" in other media don't matter here. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 22:57, March 1, 2024 (EST)
I know this is a wiki related to Super Mario and its sub-franchises (Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Wario). I realize that Huey, a sentient paint can, whose name is a pun on "hue" but is also a standard name outside of the Super Mario franchise. Sora from Kingdom Hearts is listed in the list of fighters debuting in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate page, who belongs to Disney, as well as Square Enix along with Cloud and Sephiroth. "Huey" is a common name for people. The developers picked this name because of this and the "hue" wordplay. It's like Kat and Ana both having a common first name, but they reference "katana". Or, the common Pokémon gym leaders such as Roxanne (sounds like "rocks", rock type), Wattson (watt, electric type) Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! Also Callie and Marie, collectively refered to as the Squid Sisters, from the Splatoon series. Put both of their names together, and it sounds like "calamari", the term for squid as food. The Squid Sisters are listed on the Assist Trophy page. Jake Lugo (talk) 17:51, March 5, 2024 (EST)

Colors for the emotions[edit]

As most people know who have played Paper Mario: Color Splash, Huey's eye slot changes depending on his emotions, similar to how Meta Knight's eyes change color depending on his emotions in the Kirby anime series, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! In game, there are four color emotions for Huey. As for other feelings, my guess that it would turn green when he is disgusted, orange when he is anxious, etc. Jake Lugo (talk) 17:51, March 5, 2024 (EST)
