(First topic)Edit
This page https://web.archive.org/web/20000229142016/http://www.nintendo.com/n64/donkeykong64/gg.html refers to this animal buddy as a "Lightfish". Admittedly, the naming of other characters in this old guide isn't exactly consistent with other games, but it seems better than nothing.
Alternatively, I've seen this character referred to as Glimmer on Japanese sites, but don't have any direct evidence to whether this is an accurate name or not. But that would imply that it's simply a redesign of Glimmer, if true. Fizzle (talk) 10:27, 30 March 2014 (EDT)
Merge with Glimmer the Angler FishEdit
So I just visited this website, since it's apparently considered a source on the wiki, and I decided to add some character artworks used on this website to the DK64 Gallery, but then I found out that even they are saying the "Lightfish" is Glimmer (they're even reusing the DKC2 artwork), so shouldn't that be enough proof to merge Lightfish with Glimmer? --Metalex123 (talk) 18:59, 26 September 2018 (EDT)
- Unsure about this one--one appears to be a fish while the other is a tadpole. Results May Vary (talk) 19:14, 25 February 2019 (EST)
- Nah, it's a fish after all. Anglerfish can have weird fins like that. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:22, 25 February 2019 (EST)
