Too bad you can't refight him to work out all the requirements. If you are reading this and haven't fought him yet, go ahead and try it and report the results below. It's Meester Tweester! 09:50, 8 December 2012 (EST)
I've fought him and used the bowling ball too, it did not freeze either on my 3DS, I think it's best to remove the piece of information for now until we are actually sure of the stuff that causes it. ~ Qyzxf (talk)
While playing the game I realized that if you use a Billiard ball or a curling stone against an enemy such as the Goomba Shiny the game freezes.--Sonic98 (talk) 06:24, 20 February 2013 (EST)
In the glitch where you can't touch anything, when you paperize, you become invisible.

It's funny. I noticed the Secret Door Glitch on my own time and thought it was a secret. I even posted it on the forums asking about it. (Even with a screenshot, which was thanks to Miiverse, which can sometimes be a good way to get a screenshot without modding your 3DS) --76.18.68.192 17:15, 3 August 2014 (EDT)
Glitch in Snow Rise[edit]
Also in that glitch, if Mario paperizes after getting hit by snowballs, he will turn invisible.
Shy Guy Jungle Plant Skip[edit]
In my first playthrough, I couldn't figure out how to get past the plants in 5-1, so I accidentally found this glitch trying to brute force my way through. Here is my step-by-step guide to completely breaking the plants in Shy Guy Jungle.
Step 1: Stun the plant.
Step 2: Jump on where the left leaf was before it wilted when you stunned the plant. For whatever reason, the hitbox doesn't change when you stun the plant, and you can also stand on the leaves even though it doesn't seem to do anything This glitch only works with the left leaf. Don't ask me why, I have no clue.
Step 3: Jump from the janky leaf hitbox directly onto the flower. You are free to jump to the next platform without the stupid timed platforming.
This glitch is really helpful for skipping the last flower (the area to the far right with the Spear Guy and the bridge scrap) as you normally have to find a hidden block that has no hints as to its location.
Hope this was helpful, I'm new here so advice would be great. Thanks! WillowTehKitsune (talk) 13:19, April 5, 2021 (EDT)
- Actually the right leaf also works. But yeah for whatever reason the collision isn't updated properly when you hit the flower, so you can stand where the leaves were. //ZAKU// (talk · edits) 13:54, March 25, 2022 (EDT)
Toad Model Glitch[edit]
For whatever reason, Toad models freak out when you hit them with the hammer. Anytime you hit a Toad that isn't in the base standing pose, it will play the hit animation for a standing toad. For example, if you whack a sitting toad, they randomly stand for about a second and a half during the hit animation (where their head crumples from the blow and then unfolds itself) and then sit back down for no reason. Like I said in the above post, advice would be great. Thanks! WillowTehKitsune (talk) 13:24, April 5, 2021 (EDT)
Kool album to skip Kersti being eaten[edit]
If you use the Kool album to skip losing Kersti in 5-6, Petey never spawns and it's impossible to fight him, so you have to redo the level when you get to the end.--Skycloud383 (talk) 19:40, January 14, 2023 (EST)
- Thank you for the reminder, I've added this information to that section. //ZAKU// (talk · edits) 17:41, January 15, 2023 (EST)
Gauntlet Pond skip poison gush[edit]
While I was trying way too hard with creating a Low% route, I found a way to skip the final stream in 3-9 via jumping onto the platform, walk to nearly the top, and then hammering when you're about to collide with the poison gush, such that you take damage once and then you are still on the platform. It was also done in emulator; I don't know if it's also on console.
