This is probably counterproductive to my (still in progress) plans regarding Nurse Peach's article, but I'll bring this up anyway:

Do we really need this page? It's really nothing more than a one-off gag, and there's even less to say about it than Nurse Toadstool herself, or even the likes of Kassanova Koopa. Nearly anything we'd need to mention regarding them could probably just be covered on the article for the issue it came from. (Or at least, that's what we'd generally do under our current wiki treatment of alter-egos, although I have been contemplating how to revise a few aspects of it...)

Does anyone have any objections? Or is this dubious page destined for a decisive deletion? Wandering Poplin (talk) 02:05, January 23, 2026 (UTC)

yeah, this doesn't feel right. these are not characters, they're just mario and peach wearing yoshi disguises. — eviemaybe Tanooki Mario's tail, cropped (talk) 14:11, January 23, 2026 (UTC)
Worthy for BJAODN in the same vein as A Plumber's Lament/In Search of Lost Brother. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 15:43, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
Kassanova Koopa has a page per a (relatively recent) proposal, and is also a brief disguise. I think this is fine. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:10, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
As noted elsewhere, this is less akin to Kassanova Koopa, and more similar to having an entire article for "Aface and his gang" from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.
These KC Mario alter-egos often tend to receive treatment like this in situations where we would've otherwise merged them ages ago, likely because their additions to this wiki are recent enough that they have not received the same scrutiny as their counterparts. (See also: This inactive-yet-unfinished discussion regarding the KC Deluxe "King" Koopa alter-egos.) Wandering Poplin (talk) 16:29, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
My primary issue with merging is it obfuscates actually finding this information to a small portion of a larger article on a piece of media, whereas the subject at hand is decidedly not the piece of media itself. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:39, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
Well, I don't think this is the way it should be done. Unless we plan to revise our coverage of the other alter-egos in the franchise in the near future (or we find a obscure second appearance by these disguises), this page is very unnecessary. These are not "transformations", "characters", or anything of the sort, they are just Mario and Princess Peach in bad disguises. (Which also completely failed to trick the person they were attempting to decieve.) There are no personality differences, no different abilities, nor even any appearances as a separate character. They are just a gag, and nothing more. Wandering Poplin (talk) 17:42, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
I find your arguments overly utilitarian. I think this is cute, and more worth a page than that DK Jr. recolor that had one for years. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:51, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
Said recolor no longer has a page, so I don't see why that should factor into anything. And if similar subjects such as "Fry Gal" don't get articles, why should these two be the exception? Wandering Poplin (talk) 19:13, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
Hence why I said "for years." I do think alter-ego merges need re-examined; in particular, Koopa's and K. Rool's. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:27, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
I don't think the fact that it took us over 14 years to properly get rid of Junior (II) should be what dictates whether these very short-lived disguises should keep their page.
But regarding the re-examined alter-ego coverage, what do you have in mind? Because as it is, I feel like keeping this page would be akin to having a page for Grandma (King Koopa) from Little Red Riding Princess, which would be equally unnecessary. (It's rather strange how a lot of my most fitting examples tend to come from that show.) Wandering Poplin (talk) 20:02, May 26, 2026 (UTC)
(indent return) I don't see why we can have Mousersaurus Rex but none of the other episode-themed versions of that character. Same goes for Koopa and his themed identities. Restricting those splits to episode-thematic "species"-of-which-only one appears and not characters that are ostensibly-but-not-necessarily the same individual (I seem to recall the theme song saying "You'll meet Koopas and Troopas") is too "lore"-y to my taste. For that matter, a human version of Koopa appeared in one episode as well and is split: Sergeant Kooperman. I say this given the strong classic cartoon roots of Mario as a whole as well as the show; Pete, Bluto, Yosemite Sam, or even Tom Cat could be portrayed as, for instance, an alien in one cartoon, the devil in another, and their respective normal species in most of the rest, and be simultaneously the same character and a different one. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:23, May 26, 2026 (UTC)

Throwing our two cents in; we could honestly go either way on this. Both more jokey "forms" and one-off forms getting pages to themselves is nothing new, but the fact it's exclusive to a 4koma gag strip is a problem. We would personally err on merging this information into the 4-koma section on the corresponding manga they're from; as of right now, the explanation of the 4-koma strip on there is a singular sentence that doesn't even go into the punchline.
