Is it the official name for this item? Very little creative name IMO... ¢oincoll€ctor
- I'm pretty sure that the name is official, but Nintendo hasn't released any info on it.--FREAK ~Game Freak~ OUT!
Mmmmmh... It would be better a reference for that name, because it sounds really conjectural. Shouldn't it be named Lakitu Block since a Lakitu comes from that? ¢oincoll€ctor
- Well, I haven't reached that far in the game yet, but just add the conjectural template.--FREAK ~Game Freak~ OUT!
Merge[edit]
Shall we merge square cloud with Cloud Block? Given the internal and Japanese names, this is most likely a Jump Block-style update to the original block, with it transforming into a helpful Lakitu when hit a possible callback to the original design of Lakitu's Cloud itself being essentially a Cloud Block. - I would be OK with this. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:26, January 17, 2020 (EST)
- One's a platform, the other's a block that spawns a Lakitu. I don't think merging these is a good idea. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:11, April 23, 2020 (EDT)
- Me neither. Despite looking similar, let's just say that the similarities end there. Otherwise, they're just too different to even consider merging. (T|C) 13:18, April 23, 2020 (EDT)
- Yeah, I don't think they have anything else related besides them both being a cloud with a face. -User:LewisCat28 18:27, June 2, 2021 (EDT)

- Jump Blocks and Note Blocks are functionally the same thing, whereas Cloud Blocks and square clouds are not. The alleged callback is speculation. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 16:39, September 21, 2021 (EDT)
