Talk:The Underwhere

I was reading about the Underwhere in an article a while back, I think it was 9 creepiest areas in non-scary games.

And the person mentioned that there is a low whispering in the background but the person wouldn't say what the whispering said except that it was freaky.

I don't really want to go find out myself because faint whispering within background music always creeped me out so I'm hoping someone could put up in trivia what it's saying. Moogleknight24 (talk) 06:43, 24 September 2012 (EDT)Moogleknight24

I don't hear anything when listening to the theme. Mario4Ever (talk)

I guess he was wrong, or I read it wrong, or the article never existed and I'm insane since I can't find it now... either way thanks. Moogleknight24 (talk) 14:38, 24 September 2012 (EDT)Moogleknight24

No, it's there. However, it's not so much whispering as it is distortion; sped up, it starts to sound more like a voice, but it's still garbled beyond comprehension (and I think it might have even started out as Japanese). - Walkazo 20:42, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

To be honest I find this Creepypasta much scarier than Slenderman. (Whom I never found scary) Moogleknight24 (talk) 21:02, 24 September 2012 (EDT)Moogleknight24

Ah, I hear it now. I was confused by the original comment and thought the distortion or whatever it is was in the general theme rather than in the theme played at the bottom of the River Twygz. In any case, I'm not sure we can definitively discern anything trivia-worthy from it (perhaps we could glean something if it was slowed down?). Mario4Ever (talk)

My hypothesis: Our senses are constantly finding images in things. (Like seeing distinct shapes in clouds or ink blots) so the guy who mentioned hearing a message, his brain was making him think he was hearing a message through the gibberish. Actually, I remember playing that game very well, and I can't remember any whispering. My Wii is currently not set up since my family moved, so once it's set up I'll check, I might have just not heard the whispering because I was too distracted thinking about what to do. The area itself is supposed to be like a haunted theme. From what I've heard the area is one of the nine scariest areas in non-scary video games. Though I've never actually played the game though I am getting it. The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits) Sprite of Prince Dreambert from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. 22:17, 2 May 2016 (EDT)

This entire discussion is veering on the no forum comment rule but I don't really care at this point. BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 22:20, 2 May 2016 (EDT)
