Shouldn't this be merged with Scoff? HyperToad@Troff
- Uh... do you have a reason? Because I see no reason for them to be merged, at the moment. :\ Marcelagus (T • C • E)
- If two radically different characters are merged in the same article. I guess two character who alway appear in pair and have the exact same purpose should be too. --Blitzwing 15:04, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
- Who, like Mario and Luigi? If you want Ashley and Red to be split, then you could probably suggest that at that article. But it can't be used as much of a reason to merge these two articles. Marcelagus (T • C • E)
- Well I just figured since Ashley & Red, Mario and Luigi's Parents, and Young Cricket and Master Mantis were merged, and Troff and Scoff don't do much indeviually. HyperToad@Troff

Merge as "Troff 'n' Scoff"[edit]
These two characters are a duo who are always seen together, have the same role throughout the game, and their pages are virtually duplicates of each other. Also, from what I can tell, Troff speaks for both of them, leaving Scoff with no personality of his own. Them being split feels like another odd relic of the early days where it was pretty much "anything goes" on the wiki. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:57, May 12, 2026 (UTC)
- I thought pages were supposed to be split for the individual members of a duo? "Ashley & Red" and "Young Cricket & Master Mantis", which are mentioned in the previous topic, do have duo pages still, but they're also separate articles now (Ashley, Red, Young Cricket, Master Mantis), and these duo pages are basically disambiguations. Also isn't "Troff 'n' Scoff" the name of the area they're in? --Metalex123 (talk) 23:28, May 13, 2026 (UTC)
- Dribble & Spitz is a closer comparison since they are outright never seen apart. Those previous ones were split later because the characters actually started appearing separately a notable amount. The manual calls the duo "Troff n' Scoff" with one apostrophe, so it seems likely the designation is intended for both the characters and the location. - Hmm, yeah I guess makes sense then. Would make sense to merge them into a group page instead of individual character pages since they're never seen alone, always together. --Metalex123 (talk) 04:21, May 16, 2026 (UTC)
