Template:AT note

This template is intended for use on file pages that have at least one archive.today link as the file's primary source. It outputs a note cautioning readers to use an ad blocker if they wish to visit that site, as archive.today has been using visitor traffic for a distributed denial-of-service attack against someone's blog since January of 2026. As an additional precaution, the template automatically disables the link itself, with readers having to deliberately copy and paste the URL into their browser search bar in order to access it.

It has three unnamed parameters: the first is for the snapshot's five-character ID (as shown in the short-form version of its link), the second is used to explain why you resorted to an archive.today link (e.g. "the original website is defunct", "the original post has been deleted"), and the third is a reference tag. Only the first parameter is required.

Please note that this template exists for cases where archive.today is the sole surviving capture of a given source. Links to archive.today are currently deprecated on Super Mario Wiki and should be replaced whenever an alternative copy of that source surfaces.
