Hey everyone and welcome to this month's issue! Our staff wiki is back up and running, so thankfully we didn't have to scramble this issue in the span of a few days. In addition to that, the Awards Ceremony was a week ago and it was all fantastic. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already, and next month we'll have more coverage on reflections and fancy awards templates that winners can place on their userpage. Special thanks to Anton (talk) for coordinating everything, and even more so for drawing four stylish new banners for The 'Shroom, including the one you see on the main page! The others are in Fake News, Fun Stuff, and Critic Corner. Speaking of wonderful art, a big thank you to Mr. Edo (talk) for revamping everyone's staff portraits! They all look amazing and he's done excellent work providing artwork for The 'Shroom, be sure to check everyone's fancy new look! All of this new artwork is fantastic, and I'm glad that so many people support this project. The artwork doesn't stop there though, be sure to check out the results for this year's Awards Art Contest! With all that out of the way, please enjoy the rest of this issue!

Staff Section of the Month for July 2017

STAFF-VOTED SECTION OF THE MONTH
Place Section Writer Reasoning
1st Guess Who! Andymii (talk) Guess Who!'s final section marks the end of an era for Fun Stuff, and it goes out quite spectacularly as well. The level of immersiveness in the section was very impressive, and Andymii's tribute to SMB and The 'Shroom as a whole at the end was quite touching. An excellent finisher to an excellent section!
2nd Poll Committee Discussion Andymii (talk) and Tucayo (talk) Well-written and a strong finisher for the Seventh Poll Committee. Tucayo's summary of the year was concise yet informative, and Andymii's analysis was a prime example of how to write the section well. Their combined efforts make an already interesting section quite enjoyable to read.
3rd Could Have Been Alex95 (talk) Very thoroughly researched, and explained well enough that it's still easy to understand for those not very familiar with beta game design. Alex95's section truly takes the original Should Have Been section to new heights, and it's great to see how much potential this section has thanks to him.
3rd Mario's Boombox Hooded Pitohui (talk) A welcome return for this section. It was brilliantly written and had the potential to hook even people who are not interested in music from beginning to end.
5th It's aMAZEing Meta Knight (talk) A long-time Fun Stuff favorite comes to an end. Every single maze has been brilliantly created, and it's a shame that we are losing this section.

As unbelievable as it may seem, with each passing month we get better and better sections! Even after 125 issues, quality just keeps improving, so I want to congratulate all of our writers on their sections! Keep up the good work!
