The Sorcery Show | Legend 8 | I particularly want to highlight all of the new characters introduced in this issue. Legend 8 certainly has a knack for creating charming and fun character designs! |
The Sunshine Travel Guide | TheBlueCatMenace and Boo1268 | It's always really cool to see writers collaborating with each other, and it made for an especially memorable edition of a section that's already consistently high-quality. Cosmo's travel logs were a fun addition this time around, and I like that TheBlueCatMenace isn't afraid to experiment with the structure of the section and change things up from time to time. |
The Spectral Lens | Boo1268 | The lore Boo1268 added this time around was commendably in-depth and recognizably rooted in levels and mechanics presented in game. It adds a lot to this political history that you can pick out references to, for example, Rodent Ruckus or Wing Ding, and that it includes explanations for factors like the presence of Banana Coins on the island. |
Mario And Luigi Brothership Custom Instruction Manual | ScaryStar | A very fun and heartfelt project that returns to the days when instruction manuals had so much more personality to them. This was clearly made with a lot of love for the source material. |
Shmaluigi, Private Investigator | Waluigi Time (talk) | Shmaluigi hasn't missed a beat while he's been on a break. If anything, this section has grown even stronger in capturing that feeling of a short detective story with its snappy dialogue and the elaboration in Shmaluigi's internal monologue. This edition lays the groundwork for a compelling mystery quite handily, building intrigue with references to past characters and use of past locations that turn out to be dead ends. The only lead at the end being a mysterious informant creates a strong sense of tension. |
