Toothberries | | ||
Toothberries are small, round creatures that first appear in Donkey Kong Country Returns. These foes make their main appearance in Itty Bitty Biters. However, some Toothberries are also found in Clingy Swingy. Their name is a portmanteau of tooth, referring to their razor-sharp teeth and means of attack, and berry, as their color scheme matches that of common berries. They attack by jumping up and biting the Kongs. In Itty Bitty Biters, they come out of walls, statues, and floors. The red Acks are more aggressive than the blue ones and jump higher. They also require two jumps to be defeated. The yellow Toothberries, known as AckStacks, appear in groups of five and are piled on top of each other to form a wall. If the Kongs force them to attack, they'll dive down to the ground and become vulnerable to jump attacks. Another variety, the Cageberry, is a Toothberry trapped in a cage. Despite being trapped, these variants can still jump within the cage, protecting themselves from harm while harming the Kongs. | |||
