Regarding the Mario is Missing! items

Considering your massive change to Template:MIM just now, I'd say yeah, go ahead and move all of the pages that already have articles to their proper titles and/or proper capitalization. I may do some page moves myself, though of course it's always a marathon and never a sprint. Well, "proper" ought to be in quotation marks. We have "Michelangelo's Paintbrush" and "Rembrandt's paintbrush" in the same game. Also, "mexican tile". Wiki policy seems like we abide by the first two, but we need to change it to "Mexican tile" on the article (though maybe not on the template). Ahemtoday (talk) 02:25, September 2, 2022 (EDT)

Rename N64 Block Fort and GCN Pipe Plaza to just "Block Fort" and "Pipe Plaza" respectively

Given that these battle courses were not given a prefix in-game in Mario Kart DS, on top of the fact that Ninja Hideaway also doesn't have a prefix in-game in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and was written accordingly on the wiki, I think they shouldn't include their prefixes in their names. Proposal

Hi. I saw the proposal you made. I just want to say that this is very much needed for both the MK8/MK8DX articles & any other games that need this sort of treatment. For your proposal, you have my support. SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk) December 5, 2022 13:22 (CST)

Er, thanks, but your vote only counts if you put it in the "Support" section on the proposal page. Ahemtoday (talk) 14:45, December 5, 2022 (EST)

Regarding Charlottenburg Palace

After my last edit in Berlin Byways, I just realized from the page's history that you intended to create the page of Charlottenburg Palace, yes? When I saw those red links on Berlin Byways, I can't help but to link it back to the Wikipedia article. So, um... I'm wondering if you can leave the links untouched before creating the page next time? Then I wouldn't be mistaken or confused on why the links are going red on purpose and everything. Landmarks

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by your edit summaries while removing the Mario Kart categories from those landmark pages. If you mean that other landmarks that didn't previously appear in Mario is Missing don't receive pages just for appearing in Mario Kart, I still think the categories should be left on the pages, since these subjects are covered and appear in those games. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:48, December 16, 2022 (EST)

Yeah, that's what I meant. It leads to an odd situation when looking at the Tour and 8 Deluxe categories: those games include many landmarks, but only a fraction of them are present on their category pages, and it's not due to anything regarding their Mario Kart appearances, but instead their appearances in a different game. Ahemtoday (talk) 12:59, December 16, 2022 (EST)
Well, regardless of the reasons for coverage, the subjects do appear in those games so they should receive the appropriate categories, so I'm going to revert the edits for now. If you want the categories removed, it should probably be discussed first. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 13:26, December 16, 2022 (EST)

Template:DDRMM song addition

I've added a music sample parameter to the template since I've already uploaded samples of all the stage music. - RHG1951 (talk) 22:00, May 18, 2023 (EDT)

Proposal cleaned up

I cleaned up my proposal by adding the <pre> tags. You should take a look at what the template will look like from above. What do you think how my proposal looks? GuntherBayBeee.jpgGuntherBayBeeeGravity Rush Kat.png 21:01, March 30, 2024 (EDT)

The angel

If you undone my edit based on what *you think*, play the Mario is Missing SNES version. There is a missing artifact for that Angel of Independence called "The angel". Derekblue1(talk)Daisy Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga-styled sprite 01:57, July 2, 2024 (EDT)

Correction for my part, the artifact is referred to as angel, but given by how we name them, it is just called "Angel" XD Derekblue1(talk)Daisy Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga-styled sprite 02:12, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
I know that. What I mean is that this is clearly a case where the landmark itself is stolen. This also occurs with the Dome of the Rock and the Damascus Gate. Their artifacts aren't on the navbox not because I don't know what they are, but because the artifacts are one and the same as the landmarks. (Also, please check more than the SNES version. The Angel of Independence is in every version of this game.) Ahemtoday (talk) 02:20, July 2, 2024 (EDT)

The waiting time proposal

I ended up canceling right as you made your comment. I invite you to come up with your own method, then. Since it was canceled, you can do so as soon as you like. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:24, September 17, 2024 (EDT)

The issue with that is that... well, I don't have any better ideas. A proposal like this inherently needs to draw some distinction between "omnibus" proposals and "normal" proposals, but I don't really think there's a way to do that non-arbitrarily. Ahemtoday (talk) 18:43, September 17, 2024 (EDT)

Donkey Konga songs

If I may suggest, perhaps we could tackle the song pages like so to avoid more ninja moments; I can create the base page for each, with all the formatting and setting up the lyrics...for some reason this is one of those things my brain latches onto and says "Yeah! Do that! That's fun for some reason". Then you can hop onto all the pages and add in the extra, more detailed information about the song/cover, as that's more beyond my wheelhouse. Also, incidentally, we don't have the star rankings for any of the Konga 2 or Konga 3 pages, so we'll have to find those somewhere. Shadow2 (talk) 08:48, June 12, 2025 (EDT)

You definitely seem faster at it than I am. Truth be told, though, I'm actually unfamiliar with a large part of Donkey Konga's song list. Although a lot of the information I add comes from just listening to the length of the song, or from information from other sources. I can definitely swing back and take a look at some of the songs you made articles for sometime. Right now, my focus is on Turkish March and the video game music. Ahemtoday (talk) 14:04, June 12, 2025 (EDT)
By "more detailed information", I mean extra sentences/paragraphs like the "Its charting in Donkey Konga is built around its signature "stomp, stomp, clap" rhythm using the game's clap notes, particularly on Chimp difficulty and in its Quartet chart." you wrote for We Will Rock You. I can input the raw data, but I dunno how to actually describe how the song sounds like, lol... Shadow2 (talk) 18:12, June 12, 2025 (EDT)

Do you have data for the difficulty stars and Jungle Jams cost for Konga 2 and Konga 3? I saw you were the who added them to Konga 1. You don't need to build the whole tracklist table right now, but if you have them I'd like to see them for when I build more new pages. Shadow2 (talk) 07:07, June 13, 2025 (EDT)

Information on 2 online is a bit harder to come by. I can get that information for the European version, but not for the others. As for Donkey Konga 3, I can find the difficulty ratings for the Japanese version (y'know, the only version), but not the Jungle Jam prices (and I can confirm the game still has the Jungle Jams system). On that note, it seems like the Famicom music in 3 is locked to a specific mode that only has one difficulty, which may necessitate a change in how we show difficulties. Ahemtoday (talk) 09:37, June 13, 2025 (EDT)

Are we making pages for other franchises' songs, such as "The Legend of Zelda Theme" and "Super Smash Bros. Melee Opening"? Shadow2 (talk) 21:37, June 14, 2025 (EDT)

I think it only makes sense to. It would be weird to make the call that the Melee opening is too far removed from Mario to get an article but a bunch of pop songs aren't. (Not to mention the Zelda theme was already on our "recurring themes" navbox.) In my mind, it's a bit like the stuff in Category:Real-world landmarks in the Mario Kart series — cameoing in Mario Kart Tour isn't enough to get you an article, but if something else gets you an article (that's the Donkey Konga appearance in this analogy), then that article's free to mention the Tour appearance. Ahemtoday (talk) 21:47, June 14, 2025 (EDT)

Don't have time to play with the table right now, but here's the USA song order (All-Star is the first song). There's also this playlist which I believe is in the correct Japanese order, since this user also numbered their uploads for the Konga 1 songs and they were all in the proper order. Shadow2 (talk) 03:31, June 16, 2025 (EDT)

Almost done with all the pages now, but I have an important question... How are we handling all the bonus Famicom tacks for Donkey Konga 3? Though I haven't looked at them all yet, I looked at a few. All of them are simply titled after the game ("Pac-Man", "Zelda no Densetsu", etc) and feature a short medley of songs ripped directly from the game. So, do they get pages? And what would they be titled? Shadow2 (talk) 06:16, June 26, 2025 (EDT)

Hm. Well, I definitely think they get pages due to being gameplay-relevant. And I think naming the pages what they appear as in-game is the only move consistent with our naming policy. Maybe make the disambiguator "medley" and not "song"? Ahemtoday (talk) 12:29, June 26, 2025 (EDT)
Or "track"? Shadow2 (talk) 17:39, June 26, 2025 (EDT)
I don't think I'd go with "track" — it's not entirely clear that's referring to music at first. Ahemtoday (talk) 18:50, June 26, 2025 (EDT)
